I don't think it's such a good idea for developers of any mod to give out a release date. What if they found a bug and the release is a day late? I can just picture forum posts saying crap like, "wherez da mod!!1!! wtf z0mg", "liars!", etc...

Yeah, but at least it stops those same people from asking when the mod will be released.
