Hmm i think you cant change view distanced on a specific gun... that would be laggy..

it should be do-able. a really high zoom is easy enough to set up, and SatNav over at BFSP had done some work that approximated a kind of thermal-imaging, a-la the alien Predator vision mode.

i'm not sure AIX would build this, but it should be possible
