Im running Crysis demo on 1280x1024/ very high settings and no AA because it just makes the FPS much worse.
System Specs...
AMD Athlon 64 6000+ on asus m2n32-sli mobo
4Gigs Corsair dominator ram
Vista x64
raid-0 on western digital raptors
BFG 8800 Ultra
850w silverstone power supply
creative x-fi extreme gamer fatality pro
tried both latest driver and latest beta driver 169.04
now with all that im only getting 15-20 FPS? something is wrong here. Hope the final release is a coded better because right now I am not happy with the results.

I am having the exactly the same problems as you are and was hoping someone else out there was having the same thing
My rig:
QX6800 @ 2.93
4 GB Corsair DDR2
2 x 8800 GTX in SLI
Vista Home Premium 32-Bit
Raid-0 2 x 500 GB
1100 Watt Tagan PSU
Creative Extreme Gamer Audio
I have tried both the drivers I had before, the original beta release drivers and the new beta release drivers and am getting anywhere from 15-20 FPS with Very High Settings at 1680 x 1050 with no AA. If I turn all settings down to low, I average about 40 FPS, which is frankly horrible for my machine. I've tried using SLI with different frame display settings, alternate, split, etc... and I've tried without SLI, performance without SLI is slightly better but not much. This incredible loss of performance has nudged me over the edge to buying COD4 this weekend, hopefully EA can do something to convince me otherwise.

they made this game future proof
only system thats going to 50-60fps with this game is someone with 2 ultras in sli, QX9650, 2 gigs of good ddr 2 ram or ddr3 ram. and a nice X35 chipset :D
Remember when farcry came out. no systems at the time were able to run that game on the max settings and get smooth frame rates.
Crytek wanted to make this game still be going strong after 1 -2 years after its been out.
once the R650's and 9800's come out it will run allot better.

I think this is meant to be in the Support section
And I have know idea how to help you but I would say its cause of you 64-bit Vista first guy and second guy I would say your problem lies with Vista as well. xD its the demo the whole game will be better and have patches there are special config files out there for the demo that greatly increases performance but your gonna have to find em :P cause I can't remember where I got them from

dear god people, mate your computer will run it on max settings as soon as the full version and better drivers come out. the demo atm will not enable SLi nor will it enable Qaud core processors. your computers will run it on max once they bring out better drivers and the full version is out. (the full version will be a hell lot more stable)

With my specs I run it at 30-40 fps on max at 1680 res. So I don't see how you can get that low.

Exactly, Vash. I didn't say that it needed to run at max settings with 60+ frames, I'm just saying that even on the lowest settings I get barely 40 frames. High settings dish out alright frames, ~30, usually on the lower side of that though. I really hope the full game will allow me to run it right.

I was actually impressed with crysis running on my system. I get around 32 fps on average on all low, 1200x1000 resolution. Spec in sig. I think i was surprised because im coming from bf2, which didnt utilize my dual core. If the final release is even more stable, ill be very happy.

I just hope your right... I got a..
Quad Core Q6600
2GB RAM
8800GTX
and running at 1680x1050... Man, I hope you are right. I love the game, but with this PC not even 3 months old, and I made it for Crysis, this isn't right. But, It's a demo, so it's not stable. I just want to see 30+ with this rig when Nov 16th rolls around

I got
E6700 @ 3.45 gigahertz
8800gtx
2 gigs 1066 megahertz ram
vista ultimate x64
All Ultra high on 1920 by 1200 I get around 10-15 fps at 1680 by 1200 I get aorund 15-20 and if I play it at 1280 by 1024 I get around 30 so I really don't see why yours are that low. I have latest beta drivers btw.

oh and I forgot to mention, when I set video settings for optimal, crysis sets everything to medium with AA off. Now how is that possible with my specs? I understand it may not be very high settings but I would expect at least High settings on some things

PC is 3 months old, but you're using year old hardware (well the c2q6600 is less than a year I think, but it's tech that's as old as c2d).
