cool thing ive discovered with using infantry and tanks, you dont need that many rifle/volk squads, rather you can have just one or 2 and use machine guns teams in larger numbers, obviously you cannt do this until you actually get to tanks and armored vehciles but when you do try this.
dont 4 get ur halftrack
use your rifle/volk/grenadier....(or watever) squads to help machine gun teams defend tanks from infantry attacks, when you run into at guns load up your half track ,with rifle/volk squads because mg teams will be screwed that close in, and take it along with you armor on a flanking run. divide your overall force into two groups and send then around both flanks to envelope the enemy.
mortars work well also but dont make more than 2 or 3.
