The guys over at the Burning Truth (http://www.burningtruth.com/frontlines/index.html) have recently posted up a description for each of the Light Machine Guns. Check it out:
Light Machine Gun > Western Coalition
Name - MAG 021
Tactical Range - ■■■■■□□□□□
Damage - ■■□□□□□□□□
Tactical Rate of Fire - ■■■■■■■■□□
Ammunition - 7.62mm WC machine gun
Feed Device - 200-round magazine
The MAG 021 was adopted in 2021 (hence the numeric designation) as the official Western Coalition light machine gun. Built on a long tradition of Western European light machine guns, it is a rugged and extremely reliable design. It uses the tried-and-true 7.62 WC machine gun round (formally 7.62mm NATO).
The 021 also mounts a low-power scope.
Light Machine Gun > Red Star Alliance
Name - PKH
Tactical Range - ■■■■■□□□□□
Damage - ■■□□□□□□□□
Tactical Rate of Fire - ■■■■■■■■□□
Ammunition - 7.62mm RSA machine gun
Feed Device - 200-round magazine
The PKH is the latest member of a style of machine guns dating back to the 1950’s. The PKH has seen many small improvements over its predecessors, worked in from combat experience in the early 2000s. (Ironically, the militaries of nations that were to become the Western Coalition recommended to the Russian arms manufacturers certain improvements to their existing weapons, owing to their experience fighting alongside the armies of Iraq and Afghanistan – improvements that formed the basis of the PKH. Thus WC forces here face a weapon improved by their own weapons technologists.)
As with its Western Coalition counterpart, the MAG 021, the PKH is an extremely reliable and rugged weapon. However, it is also somewhat less expensive to manufacture. The PKH sports a low-power scope.
