Well tonight instead of working on my map I decided to fool around with making 3d pictures. These are kinda interesting and 1 set need 3d glasses, and the other set requires you to cross your eyes (which is really interesting in how it works) Let me know what you guys think. I can make more if people want.

Heres a path thats a side by side that requires you to cross your eyes.

Heres the same path that you can use 3d glasses on (if you have some lying around)

Heres a river shot I made that requires you to cross your eyes.

Heres the same river that uses the 3d glasses.

Personally I like the cross eyed one because they look better when you do it, but I'm only using some cheap cheap 3d glasses.

Let me know what you think.

I don't have 3D glasses, so I could only do the stereoscopic ones (when you cross your eyes) and they're really good! Crysis is a good game to do those kind of pictures

Move your head close to the monitor until you feel your eyes come out of focus.

I couldn't actually get em to work though. :(

I dont think you can do the side by side picture very well playing the game. What you do is find an object and take the SS, then you move right a bit without moving back or forward and take the second SS, then you put the 2 together and you got your picture :)

Those look pretty sweet once you get em (eyes crossed). I sat about 4 feet back from my monitor, and focused in a space in between me and the monitor.

If you guys still cant get it try and focus on one part that stands out (ie the brown path in the first one, and the docks in the second) and try and get the 2 to overlap, then the image looks 3d. It took me a while but they look cool once you get focused right.

Yeah I did that, but it makes the image seem really small and blurry... I can faintly see the 3Dness when I do that though

Wow.. haha I forgot about this thread.. Sorry guys. To get the 3d pictures, I used a 3rd party program to do it. They dont make the best 3d pictures, but they works. The side by sides, you can just make with photoshop or MSpaint. They are just 2 offset pictures side by side. The cross eyed one is hard to do, but if you save the pictures, and then open them so you can zoom in pretty far, I would say zoom in on the dock, then line the dock 2 docks up together, then zoom out all the way(slowly) and you will see it. As for the 3d one I dont remember the program I used for it Sorry.
