Can someone explain to me how you slice your footage in Vegas please.
I know one way of doing it but it seems a lot more technical and takes a lot longer then how you do it in Premiere. I really want to use Vegas to make my movie but it seems a lot harder to use then Premier but then Premiere is harder to use in other places.
So I will stop dribbling and ask "How do I slice my footage in Vegas the quickest and easiest way possible"
Any sites with Tuts or imfo would be also appreciated.
Thankyou,
- Cougar

well hey...
I use S V 6...
To slice unwanted bits, just highlight the desired bit to slice and hit delete .. :D

Thanks, but now I have another problem.
To do with rendering my movie.
Ok I need more help now.
When I tried to render my movie.
I press Ctrl+A to select the whole movie.
Went to File > Render As..
Put it as uncompressed with the FPS at 25 the Pixel Aspect Ratio at 1 the size at 720x480. Then I put the Audio at 48000.
I then clicked Ok and it started rendering.
Once it was finished the whole movie (6min 56secs) was 18gb.
I then watched it, it has these weird lines in most parts of the movie and then it began to lag heaps like Audio and Video was lagging.
What have I done wrong and can someone show me a method on how to render it properly and then compress it please.
I posted that in the Media forum over at TBF2.

Woah!...
Well for a rendered movie file that large is most likely to lag or have lines in it .. Don't worry .. This happens to me.. Even with good spec machines.. Its because your flooring the movie player to the max ..
Download a compresser, best ones are xvid and divx..
Either use Windows movie maker, or Virtua dub to open the movie file, when its opened, set movie compression in the settings.. Put compression to best movie quality..
Then save it as movie(compressed) It will start rendering it again..
hope this helps ..

Thanks wika_woo but someone over at TBF2 had already helped me. The reason I got the lines was because I had a Field Mod set to Lower field first and not "None (Progessive Scan)" and he explained to me why I was getting that lag.
I have finished compressing the movie and it is 151mb now. I am going to release it at that size but the next movie I do I will play with the compression some more.
Thanks for your help.

No worries
I always render it at standard.. Have some experiments with transisions and effects.. Sony Vegas has alot to offer, the best thing is its very user friendly than Adobe Premeire, in my opinion..

I spent about 12 hours one day messing around with rendering. If you want to know how to render in HQ with small file size PM me its to long to post here. We can hook up on voice, I will be glad to walk you through your render

Sure, I will PM you some time.
Thankyou.
PS: Maybe if you could write up a Tutorial, then it could help a lot of people. :)
