get fibre optic internet (verizon is already starting to advertise it on TV!!!)

fiber optic internet is sweet but expensive. and when the advertisers say its fast...it really is fast

You can use wireless, I get good pings on it usually. Below 20 sometimes on close servers. Just remember to stop the Wireless Zero Configuration' if it's running.
Go to start/run type in services.msc and when window pops up scroll down to Wireless zero config and right click n select stop. Close the window n go back to playing.

Close any background tasks that are running, even anti virus n firewalls, msn n xfire etc. I never play with mine on n haven't been hacked yet!

Don't watch porn while playing either!
