Anyone remember a modern day mod for COD 1?

I seem to recall there being a modern warfare mod for COD 1 or at least one of the earlier COD games. I could be mistaken and it might have been a Medal of Honor mod. Anyways, if a such a mod did exist for an early COD game does anyone know what it was? I'm just curious if this team will do a mod for COD4.

I remember modern weapons for Call of Duty. Although the weapons were woefully unbalanced and the 'modern' M1 was too powerful.
