View Full Version : Need some guidance here on the AIX mod Music files

Hello tbf2 'ers!!! i played allied intent since it first came out and well haven't developed a liking to it at first so i moved to Hard Justice (currently waiting FH2< i am an FH veteran!) well i kept a look out for AIX which blew me away:D i absolutely loved it the first TOTAL CONVERSION of bf2 i have seen now the point of this thread is the sound files i just luv to listen to those load map songs and am figuring out how to play them w/out opening AIX like just to listen to them while i surf the web and what not any1 tried to do this? :salute:

Hello Eagle,

Those sound files are in a format called .OGG.

Unless you have a media player that will recognize the <.OGG> file extension, then you are just now figuring out that you need to CONVERT the audil file :D

Here is ONE DECODER from Vorbis (http://www.vorbis.com/setup_windows/)

The easiest way to find those Sound Files is to search ;)

Search for a file named OGG.
So your search criteria (windows) would be *.ogg* (don't forget the asteriks/wildcards)

Or...check this path on your very own computer:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\AIX\Common_client.zip

Inside that zip file is a directory called "Sound"
All the OGG files are within that directory.
Extract them somewhere.
Launch your decoder.
Convert to MP3.
Play AIX music all day long.

yeah i going to do it laterz cuz i am in Uni right now but i cant wait man i lov bf2 music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thax a bunch for ur help m8!

say i have been wondering how many loading map music u guys have and can show me where it is i know its a nubbish question but i haven't found a lot of music files though/?!?
