View Full Version : Am I missing something? can't play

BFP2 is the first mod I've tried.

It apparently installed ok... when i run it i get the funny flute music & pirate-talk options on-screen.

HOWEVER... multiplayer shows 9 servers, all empty. (When i try to join one i get CTD.)

Single-player doesn't list any maps as being available.

Are there particular times that people play? or am i missing the active server(s)? Is single-player not enabled?

there was a patched released for BFP2, also do you have your server filters setup correctly, should have ranked servers unchecked and stuff like that etc. I'm not sure if any one is playing BFP2 these days, hope there is cos its a really fun mod :(

There is no single player.

The MP servers you see are correct, and there isn't really any specific time people play as far as I know.

I also have no idea why you CTD when you load, sounds like BF2 not just BFP2.

Go to www.bfpirates.com, talk to some of the guys there. :)

If you need to reinstall all your BF2 related software you can get a frozen screen, a blank screen, or just BF2 abort. Reinstall everything BF2 you have, in the order it was produced. Everything from EA that you have: BF2, BF2-SF, BF2-Armored Fury, Final BF2 patch. Then BF2 Pirates, and whatever other mods. www.RealityMod.com has a lot of good info on that kind of stuff.

Rhino, i see 8 or 10 servers so i think the filters are right.

MacCullock, that seems like a huge headache. Especially since everything was installed in the first place in that order! Oh well if i ever see anyone on servers then i'll probably go through the trouble of re-installing :D

I reinstalled the mod & was able to get on map... must have screwed it up the first time.

It's a shame no one's on though!
