Why?
I don't know about you, but it seems like its a bad idea to merge all the clans into one forum. It's almost impossible to figure out who is recruiting for what, and to find your post anymore. It's also going to be bumped the hell out, since the front page will be changing so quickly. I don't know, but it seems like a bad idea..

its should be alot easier for people, now they can have 1 thread to cover all the games they are recruiting for instead of having to make 3-4 identical threads over different boards,
we shall see if they add the thread prefix like they have for Community Submissions.
as for finding your own thread view your own profile by clicking on your name and click "Find all threads started by Username"

The page is not linked to the front page, or do you mean the main forum index?
And like Scinto said the prefix fuction will be added to the forum, so you can sort it by game. :)

I do that but it keeps redirecting me to the front page of the new clan section.
I agree with you on keeping it simple with only one post, but the only issue is how much traffic this site has-- hopefully the front page is not full of people who continuously bump their threads or spam "looking for a clan" posts, despite the rules against it.
And dan, I mean looking at specific game forums, then hitting the clan link to be redirected to the global clan forum.
Also, what's this prefix function?

When a someone creates a thread for potd or mod news there is a drop down box next to the title where you can select what game the picture/news is for, so when the Staff view the submissions we can clearly see what game each thread is for, however for the Clans it would have to be something like multiple choice.

:shakeheadBAD MOVE TGN.:thatsbad: Me personally I enjoy clans that are 1 game specific and focus on thier game and perfect it. I guess this move is for community clans that handle multiple games. I used to enjoy surfing the BF2 section and looking at up and coming clans in the community recruiting. I was looking forward to seeing cod4 clans , but I guess not anymore. I dont wish to look at a bunch of clans trying to spam for games I dont care for.:dead:

Horrible move. I expressed this opinion to you before you decided to change things, but I suppose you don't like to listen.
Guess you'll learn the hard way when clans give up and go elsewhere to recruit. As it turns out, this move isn't good for anyone. If you're big and you play multiple games then you get to continually bump your thread or it won't be seen by anyone (me). You also have to deal with the hassle of reading all the threads to find people who are looking to join a clan for whatever games you play. If you're small and only playing one game then you're gonna have a ****ty time finding people looking for a clan in whatever game your playing. Last, if you're ISO of a clan good luck figuring out which ones are recruiting for whatever game you are playing. Absolute and utter failure.

There seems to be an ill-advised opinion that fewer forums is better. A more accurate statement would be that simpler is better and combining every single ISO clan and ISO member thread into one area is not simpler for anyone.
And thank you for deleting all the CoD4 recruitment stuff. That was a nice touch too.

I just added the prefixes, so if you are recruiting for a specific game you can select it and it is easier to sort out.

Many clans recruit for many games at once so to add the prefixes to that forum is pointless because clans don't usually have it narrowed down to one game. Not to mention Dan and I were handling this... ;)
I've decided to just put it back to the old system. Sorry for the inconvenience and it will be back to the old way soon.

Alright guys, all back to normal, some of the clan posts from COD4 and CoH were for some reason still there, all the others are not though.
Sorry for any problems this has caused, but it was due for a clean. ;)

Well guys, the good news is, we just secured up some Clan-Wiki stuff on the EncyClanPedia so vandalism on clan pages won't be a problem now. You can see the post in the EncyClanPedia forum (http://totalgamingnetwork.com/main/showthread.php?t=137848) for more details. Perhaps it'd be a little simpler to just write your entry there and just provide a link in all the clan recruiting forums...

That's almost what I was thinking as well. Would be a good way for people to use the wiki and still recruit on TGN.
