Is BF:2142 already rated T by the ESRB? It says that on the bottom of the official site AND on the wiki article, but it isn't on the official ESRB site itself yet...any chance it could change to the dreaded 'M' rating?

Not if EA/Dice have any sense at all. The lack of blood alone should be enough to keep it "T" They want that, because "M" means fewer sales to the youngsters. Rockstar can make an "M" rated game and let controversy drive sales (Which GTA did perfectly.) EA is aiming more at the "Walmart Shoppers" of the world.

EA/Dice with sense? Doubtful.
Besides, there was a video with what *looked* like blood, but it might have been an alpha or something with the crosshairs...I hope.

No there is no blood in BF2142 or BF2. Its good since if there was most of my friends could not get it.

No way, there is absolutly no gore in this game, or language so there no way. BFV had blood puffs and that was rated "T". You only get an M is you have sex, exsessive violence (Like torture, good gore like fear), or foul language which BF has none of and never has.

Not to mention knifing someone wont kill them unless its the throat or you jab it into their heart or head... poking kevlar with a pointy stick wont kill them on your first try.

F.E.A.R is basically BF2 but was rated M due to the immense amount of blood that came out of someone with one bullet and the language at times. Its hilarious that sometimes, when you fire a rocket, your guy just shouts 'Die Mother****er!'

FEAR is nothing like BF2... and I woulda figured with the minimal blood that would still make BF2 good they could keep it T since T is already associated with violence.
Side note, I love getting TK's in fear and my guy says "Oh F****"

No offence to any of the younger guys here because most of you are OK but I would rather have a Mature rating due to most of my bad ingame experiences have been from kids.

Thats why you gotta love the realism BF2 brings to the battlefield...
Spec Ops: My goodness! There are bullets EVERYWHERE! One of us is going to get very hur...
*BOOM!*
Spec Ops: John, are you OK? A missile hit you in the face?
Support: Yeah, I'm OK. A little puff of dust came out of my ear but I'm good. I have to say though I am very angry at that MEC man over there.
Spec Ops: Indeed.

Lol so true lol.
I do not think a game like BF2 needs to much gore though, it offers something that no other game has in a way that BF2 does, all those vehicles! Plus the stats system, unlocks etc....

It does have foul language "damn" and "crap"

Yeah you cant get TOO realistic for games, theres alot of gibbing in real warfare, and getting hit by a tank shell point blank wont leave you with any limb intact. And then people swear all the time... stuff liek that, theres going to be a limit to how realistic games can get, and then before you know it a realistic next gen game will get a VA because its TOO realistic and someone will say it promotes satanism.

Even the most jumped up christian wouldn't say it's promoting satanism, but I get your point.

Yah, they're a little too serious about ratings. For one really good example, the game BLACK, for PS2(which i'm playing right now). Is rated M. There is no blood, only puffs of dust, but it's rated for "Language". How much language? The main character says a *barely distinguishable* f-word in the first level. Seriously, there was so much radio frequency that i barely made it out. At first, I thought he said GIVE ME SOME CHUCKLING COVER FIRE, I had to read a guide to find out what it really said >.>.
