Just wondering. I may want to get into it. I personally have done a little modding in BF2142 and can design maps with ease. If you guys remember the difficult working of the BF2 map editor for 2142 :P. Anyways so wondering if anything was starting up soon.

The BF map editor and CoD map editor, IMO, are almost polar opposites. The CoD editor is a Radiant form of map editor.
If you want to get into mapping for the CoD series, I'd suggest you familiarize yourself with the original CoD Radiant (http://callofduty.filefront.com/file/COD_Radiant;22354). The editor for CoD2 requires the game and comes in a mod tool kit. There are plenty of mapping/scripting tutorials at ModsOnline.com (http://www.modsonline.com/) (OT: which I just noticed has a pretty neat winter holiday layout).
Sparks (he received the CoD4 beta mod tools for going to of of IW's event) said that the CoD4 editor has the ability to import previous .MAPs. I'm not sure if it's CoD2 .MAPs or CoD .MAPs, but it's worth the practice.
