So i decided to register with the forums
Anyways so as it was stated in many promotional videos they said the commander can moove the titans around, maybe someone in the beta can answer this what would happen if the 2 titans collided?

Yea i dont think they will blow up but imagine if they never tried to do it in the beta and they end up bugging out if they collide.

I don't think the commander can move their Titan within a certain distance of the enemy Titan.

Yeah besides the fact that it would be an extremely strategically mistake, I don't think you can actually bump the other titan away... Maybe you'll get like the "Are you going somewhere? Do not leave the field of battle" message, if you get to close to the enemy titan.

One thing I always hoped the commander would be able to do is get the Titan really high up and flip it over so everyone raiding it falls off or hits the roof.

ARRRRgh matey, that would be fine!
And since I suspect you move the titan by right clicking on the commander map and selecting "Move Titan Here" or some such (not in beta) it will probably prevent you from selecting this option if your cursor is over the enemy titan.
What I wonder is. What if both titan are moving and their pathes cross? It could happen even if you aren't trying to ram. Who gets the right of way? If one goes over the other, how is that decided, because the titan on top would have a huge advantage from both it's guns and troops being able to drop down.

good question, i really dont kno. Maybe the commander dies and it automatically gets back in the field, or maybe theres an invisible barrier that keeps it from going off map.

I certainly hope so. I would hate to see asshats moving the titans off the map because they think its "fun".

Anyone seen Battlestar Galactica...the new one. Theres a freaking awesome firefight between a cylon basestar and galactica in one of the early episodes of season 1.
Anyone know what im on about...that what id imagine Titan too Titan combat would be like :)
Perhaps you can move your titan close too your opponates in certain situation....if you enemy titans sheilds are down just move yours close too his. And board him...Pirate style haha

Theres an episode in Season 2 which is better...
But knowing BF, both the Titans will instantly explode when they touch eachother, meaning itll be a DRAW!!! if its doable.

It would be funny too see an entire team as "is no more" all at once:)

Such an awesome show.
I think proberly there will be a rather large radius around an enemy titan, where you'll not be able to position your titan. Otherwise it just gets a bit silly....

No kidding. You probably get a "Return to the battielfield commander" if you go either near the edge of the map or the enemies titan, maybe 200 feet from the Titan and you get insta killed, and at the edge of the map you get insta killed and the Titan stops completely
IMO going with drivable titans is risky if they dont take necessary precaution. Remember driving the carrier into the middle of wake island lawl.

Im sure you wont even be allowed to take the titan out of bounds int he 1st place.
Think about it....If you go out of bounds and decided to stay there then all that happens is you die (and anyone else in the vehical.) But if your titan goes out of bounds and the retard commander decided to stay there...then you've pretty much lost the game...since you cant exactly spawn on it, otherwise ud have a 10second timer before your dead again.
Driveable titans are a good thing, they just have to impliment a no go area around each titan.

I am guessing that the Commander steers it by right-clicking on his map and clicking "Move here" or something like someone else suggested on page 1. I reckon there would be a certain radius that the Titans can move, so if the Commander tries to movie it close to the other Titan a message comes up saying something like "The Titans are getting to close" or something futuristic like "Your Titan is getting to close, this could cause a Core malfunction and take out a chunk of the earth, so you can't move any closer" lol something like that.

Someone from DICE already said that a desperate commander could ram an enemy Titan with their shields down.

Yuckk!
I hope the Titans don't move to quick..
I got an idea for the first tournament on 2142.
Titan Battles, were Inf can't get off the Titans they must stay on them, cap some missile silos, once the shields are down the inf who went down there to cap get back on the ship and then the teams battle it out while there commander drives them close to the other Titan lol.
Wouldn't work to well with having to take out the shields and stuff but woould be heaps of fun. :D

If this is the case could the "winning titan" not just "back it up" to the enemy titan allowing it's members to just hop to the other titan?
In fact, they could prob just spawn camp since you would have shields and they won't
Someone HAS to try this in the beta!
edit: I wonder if the titans have those back up beeps like FedEx trucks?....lol

No I didn't reserve Doom, however if you check the BF2 stats page someone took this name and hasn't played in a long time.
I suggest he get the release as SOON as it comes out and register Doom after they reset everything. He won't get veteran status then though....doh!
I was just excited to get "Dr Doom"
