I'd say you are given them in the demo, along with a small amount of other unlocks. Good question though.

You wont be given them by default....But theres a new system in place...You know in quake wars you can unlock weapons by accomplising different tasks within a game, and you keep those for the duration of our stay on the server but they are wiped if you join another server etc.

Well theres a similar system in bf2142, completing tasks your squad leader gives you allows you to unlock more weapons. For use as long as you stay on the server, It's like a taster, if you decided you like that unlock then when you rank up you can make it permenant. But if you leave the server those temporary unlocks are lost.

No, nothing from the BETA's or the DEMO will carry over into the retail version of the game.

And seeings how its a demo, they probally wont even let you unlock anything, makes sence.

They will...with the temp unlock system. Id imagine they would scale it down though....perhaps only the cloak, nade, deflib.

Bear in mind the demo would be thin on the ground without some of the unlocks.

Maybe they will let you get your 2 unlocks in the demo, like the one you get from pre-ordering from EB games/Game stop and the one you get from the veters program.

Another thing they could do is let you unlock tier 1 unlocks in the demo so that you could get the grenade or the defib but they would stay in the demo so you would have to start over in the full game.

The bf2 demo didnt have any unlocks because there was no point, All the were was new weapon....they wernt that special tbh.

While in BF2141 some of them are integral...Ie the defrib...You can't get even get a taster of the bf2142 experience if you dont even have that in the game.

Plus Ea would want to show off some off their other features....such as active camo.


Bf2142 demo without 1 or 2 of the unlocks avalible wouldnt really be 2142, if you get me...

They didnt allow unlocsk in the BF2 demo, but im sure knowing the beta client file someone will be able to do it just like in BF2
