Anyone else ... Excited?

Well I've bitten into the hype and I'm quite excited for the beta which should be released today.

The last week and a bit has been quite eventful from the tuning client popping up unexpectedly inciting a 40 page thread. The "OMFGWTF" launch of the tuning beta which annoyed a lot of people. Sometimes seeming everyone is getting a key except you. Punching yourself for not camping the Planet battlefield website for that crucial hour. Vet system. Now the hopeful peaceful landing of the 2142 which will bathe us all in glorius light.

I'm wondering how excited people are over the possibility of playing 2142 in the next 12 hours and how the week has gone for you.

I didnt even know last time the Beta was realised, so when I checked the forums, "WTF" all these post's breaking the Beta NDA.

Excited yes. Excited to see the "final" version or retail version of BF2142 and a bit excited about the open beta in 2 weeks time.

Yeah, I'm trying to remain cynical cos of the whole BF2 patch debacle (where is 1.4 anyway?), etc but I'm pretty excited about the possibility of playing 2142. Can't wait to be honest. I keep trying to play BF2 to give me something to do but can't really get into it and have to keep checking back here :-)

Yes, finally, the release day is finally here. After having all of my gaming buddies get into the initial phase of the tuning beta, I am so happy that I will finally be able to get into BF2142.

As for the release time, I would keep your eyes open from about 12:30-1:30. That is usually when they send out the emails for beta keys. At least, that is the time that I have always receieved them from FilePlanet for any other beta that I have played, so...keep your eyes open.

Don't get excited about the open beta, I'm serious. It's a beta, and it's going to be bug-ridden and exploit filled until the demo release. If you're hoping to play the game and really enjoy it, not much chance of that.

People expecting the beta to be some wonderful, mind-blowing gaming experience will end up dissappointed and bashing the game which isn't even close to it's retail state yet. So if you're not in it to find the bugs and suggest fixes, and go find some more bugs until your eyes are red, you're better off waiting for the demo.

I just want to see the content first hand.
And I want to help find the bugs and exploits and whatever else so that when the game is released it is neally bugless.
