heya

i was playing bf2 for a bit today, and what i was really sick of was the lag.

this will be the same in 2142, so im gonna count hat out.

the 2nd most annoying thing is the overpowering vehicles.

in bf2142, the vehicles will be easier to use, but nobody can overpower them and get ridocolous K/Ds

infantry only mode is a quick sdolution, but vehicles are a part of bf2

cant wait for the balancing and teamwork!

Not a chance that 2142 is replacing BF2 for me. They're distinctly different games, and I'll be playing both for a long time yet.

Revamped stats system.

A much better class balance of both weapons and abilities.

Hope I do not stop playing BF2 altogether and still find time for it, saying that I want to get all the lovely unlocks for BF2142 :)

As much as I'd like to say that I won't be stopping playing BF2, I think in all honesty I'll be just as hooked as everyone else and BF2 will fall by the way side.

It depends heavily on whether patch 1.4 ever comes out, and also whether BF2142 is gonna be as twitchy as BF2 is now.

We'll have to wait and see.

I am in no doubt it will be great but still will not have that total new game feel because of its BF2 roots.

Depends alot whether people embrace Titan Mode or go back to Conquest.

We beta people will get a huge head start, for like a month we'll be ahead of everyone else. I don't care, more dogtags for me. :)

from my experience in the beta..2142 plays like a different game all together. In no way does it feel like a bf2mod. the graphics and physics are upgraded and the gameplay is different..not to mention all the other things different.

I want be playing bf2 anymore as long as they fix all the main bugs in 2142. 2142 has a lot more potential than bf2.

You do realize you start completely fresh when the game hits retail. No dogtags. No rank.

If your talking experience wise and your passed the learning curve well whatever. That takes like what? 30 seconds with each gun/item and vehicle?

Im thinking the bugs will make and break both BF2 and BF2142 atleast for me, if I see its as bugged as BF2 was than I'll lose alot of interest in it, I might go out and buy it but still, no point of going to 2142 to escape the bugs when it has just as plenty as BF2.

im really starting to love this game, all the unlocks make battles "interesting" so many ways to spawn emeny can turn up right infront of you.

People from the first phase that are playing 24/7, and don't look at those leipzig guys, thats from a Game Conviction..

some kid i know told me that liepzig is really " this one kid in my town from iceland, he has like 10 computers and he and his friends all LAN whenever they come over, he says hes from UK to prevent all the Iceland players from getting 'banned' like before" ....I don't know if this is true or what "before" means, but if it is true, wow kid, get a life...

Same here; I will probably convert to 2142, but of the crew I play with most are Gulf war era vets (either the first or the one we're still in) and they like the modern aspect of BF2 so they won't change. Long story short if I want to game with bros I'll be playing BF2, if not 2142.

Well last time i looked i was 15th in the world lol.

Some people are such a high rank because there seeing how quick it'll take to get unlocks etc in full release and they want to use only one soldier.

Im personally seeing if all the medals and badges etc work, seeing as quite alot of them dont work.

Although when I see bunnyhoppers and prone-divers in BF2142 Beta, I die a little inside.

Really, what is the point in slamming to the floor whenever you see anyone? It's cheap, stupid looking, annoying as Hell...Christ, it's almost as if everyone's forgotten there's a crouch button in this game.
