Battlefield 2142 FAQ

I have just added a Battlefield 2142 FAQ (http://roe.totalgamingnetwork.com/wiki/index.php/FAQ_%28Battlefield_2142%29) to the EncyClanPedia (http://roe.totalgamingnetwork.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page)
So far it is a collection of answers found in the old thread " Got a newb question? Get it answered here.", but as it is a dynamic document it will hopefully grow to include all possible BF2142 questions.

Add to the FAQ so you will never again have to say "Thats the BOFORS!!!! you noob" ;)

And for all those of you who have seen your hard work disappear as your guides drop from the front page: Add them to the Battlefield 2142 Strategies (http://roe.totalgamingnetwork.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Battlefield_2142_Strategies) page and achieve immortality :yay:

It's a nice compilation of FAQs. I don't quite understand the "fix" for the EU transport though, does that mean to "fix" the F3 seat you just move your mouse all around? I've never heard that one before

I heard it before, but I never tested it. I think it kind of works like calibrating your joystick.

I did perform a basic sanity check on the questions/answers before I inserted them, but my brain was starting to melt near the end.
It doesn't help either that I am a really bad at typing :D

But this is based on a wiki, so feel free to correct any mistakes and add new Q/As. :)

Well I am not going to steal from their FAQ, but I am pretty sure that I have seen most of the questions answered here too, so I just need to do some searching.

But if you could convince the guy to add to the one on the EncyClanPedia, that would be great!

ETA: On second thought, I am going to stay away from that FAQ to avoid ripping it off unintentionally. So it would be nice if he would add it himself.

Yeah, but reading through 50 pages of noob questions can really be a mental strain, so he deserves credit for his sacrifice :D

I will look at it again when I have finished going trough our own forums, it would be nice to have it finished for Christmas.
That is probably the last influx of new players this game is going to get.

but I cant figure out how to aim the Type 32 Nekomata main gun, I understand it doesnt move left or right, the whole tank does, but i cant get it to move up or down either, so i have to get within 3 feet of my target to do anything. I know it does move up and down, I have seen people make it look like a siege cannon before. But for the life of me i dont know what im doing wrong.

Just by moving your mouse?
By right mouse button u can zoom the canon..
For the upergun press : F2 and then movie your mouse in the direction. :D

right, well i have my keys set a bit different, but yeah, alt fire zooms in, i am talking about the main gun, the big gun, the BOOM STICK. I have seen people move it up and down, as a matter of fact, i have seen it looking straight up in the air before, but I cant for the life of me figure out what they are doing.

so my question is can you move it up and down, how do you move the gun up and down. or do i just need to get within 3 feet of my target to hit it?

ok so after reading that, i just reset everything, in the controls menue and then put everything back to the way i like it, and now it works fine

idk, must have been some kind of bug or maybe i just changes something by mistake. but it works fine now.

sounds to me liek you unbound the y axis on your land vehicles i have had loads of mates who have made this mistake lol ... you gotta be careful when setting controls not to move your mouse :P
