A week (or two) from now when the OPEN beta comes out, I predict this board will have a rush of topics relating to the beta and a handful of them will be locked.

Anyone else noticed that the beta was suddenly released to subscirbers, and the board again has like 3 locked topics and 2 related to the beta? Atleast it wasnt as bad as when the pre beta beta came out.

And I think the NDA will be lifted with the open beta. Just too many people then for them ALL to keep quiet. Besided by then, everyone will have gotten the info they want from someone they know who's in.

i suspect this is the case aswell, it might even be lifted earlier than the open beta as theres 1000's of fp subs coming in, i just hope the servers can handle this given the state there already in :|:

And server crashes can't be good for anyone. I guess as long as the crash dumps/log files show Dice what they need to see. That's the point of a beta, right?

The nice thing about getting to play the game this early is, the "ohh! new shiny" effect will have dulled by launch (not competely,) so we should have some more accurate reviews and critques of the game that aren't as influenced by "The latest and greatest."

At least from everyone except GameSpy/IGN, we know where their interests lie.

Im hoping the beta AND the demo will help EA straighten out the bugs and glitches aswell as other issues... It'd be totally disappointing if it turns out like BF2 did...

Well with the demo you won't be able to unlock anything, and you can bet they won't pull another BF2 demo where people edited a .con file which gave everyone access to all the unlocks, however between the beta and retail you could see tweaks made to unlocks that might not be in the beta version.

thats why they gave it to fileplanet so they can find the bigest problems and they dont have a massive rush and they dont get over taken by 50 ppl trying to tell them the same problem

Hardly dormant but yep will get alot more busy when the full game is out.
