Ok well in bf2 some classes(engineer) really sucked... in 2142 it looks awsome. What class are you planning on playing the most? and do you think the active cammo applys for when your in the chopper-like vehicel??

I'm planning on playing as assault and engy. And probably not, because you have to hold down the active camo for it to work.

ive heard though that the cammo works in vehicles, so wouldent it work in the air vehicels?

ive already got like 7 unlocks for recon and i like sniper... camo ROCKS.

Assault is good too

I believe in an interview they said it no longer works to cloak vehicles, they took that out. You have to hold down your fire button to activate it.

Agree;d and Engy also, whenever I have the need to whore. But I found when I got bored of the classes in BF2 I went to recon... its kinda refreshing when your busting your *** every round to save people, so you can just sit and wait for easy pickins.

I have 10 unlocks. I like all of the classes, but a lot of them depend on which unlocks I have.

I have 13 unlocks. I wish i hadnt of mixed the classes up tho.

Not by any means, they have balanced everything in this game just as they have promised in all the articles.

I wouldn't think G3 + Medpack + defibs is unstoppable anyway, I'm constantly running out of ammo with the G3 and have to pull out my pistol until I can find a support.

Well for one there is no G3 or anything like it in BF2142 and thats what Colin Clark said in the 45 minute GZTV video.

"There will be no G3's or L85 style weapons in BF2142"

"No guns will be overpowered like those guns are in BF2"

Instead these guns will all be balanced in one way or another, like if a gun is very powerful it will be very unaccurate in full auto compared to a weaker gun.

Well, I figured there wasn't going to be a G3 seeing as this is 136 years in the future, but I was just saying that I don't think it would be overpowered in BF2.

I've been doing the engie thing mostly.

I killed my first cloaker the other night. Hehe, what's that shimmer? Oh crap, shoot it!!
Really funny watching him decloak as he dies.
Little tip for cloakers... it doesn't work at close range if anyone is paying attention.

Recon, so i can cloak and knife people. I have about 15 dogtags now.

I've knifed about 5 people now and the tags dont show up in BFHQ, meybe when i start the game up again.

Anyway i'm planning on make two soldiers one assault and one recon. I wanna unlock the carbine for recon.

Well I thought it was going to be Recon, but after my experiences so far with the BETA. It's Engineer. That Kit rocks, you can take out whatever you want. Recon is still really good but because I am Aussie and theres no Aussie servers, I have to play with a ping of 200+ so Sniping is a negative atm, but I have still been able to shoot a fair few people with the rifle, but on a good ping server it should be the ownage. Same goes with the Battle Walkers, when your lagging it's really hard to steer them because they teleport a lot with a high ping.

Im willing to bet all the whorers will go engineer first... then the mediocre people go assault and support and everyone else goes recon, the nubs are just sprinkled in there.

At first, I was a bit disappointed by my fav class support, but after testing it in bf2142, I will keep on playing it. :)

Recons got two unlocks, enough for me.. the carbine ownz in medium range battlest, and 2 sniper rifles meh..

Assault is a good all around class imo, I like it alot, but the H-AR unlock is crap, the L-AR is much better, plan on playing it in retail as well

I'm going to solely be playing Recon class becasue I love spec ops and sniper in BF2 the most so it's natural. Plus Active Camo FTW!!!

BTW if anyone is allowed to tell me this or not but is sniping in BF2142 anything like BF2? Also in one of the trailers it seemed like one of the sniper riles had one hit kill. Or maybe the soldier was injured but what are the damages like? And I hope headshots are still one hit kills

As of today I've been playing Assault/Engineer as opposed to Recon. I've seen my K : D Ratio shoot up and I get a lot more kills in a round.

Recon need a lot of love in the Beta.
