The mod is great but not excellent imo. To begin with the people who can only play single player might be unimpressed, because the bots are stupid still, so people who play single player should stick with AIX. Now on to the maps, one of the most hated map I think is the one in the night because you can't tell if they are german or british sometimes. But most of the other maps are fun to play, except for the one with planes, cause we still have noobs killing each-other for the spit fire. The tanks are a little difficult to use but if you have played project reality before, it kind of similar but kind of not similar, using the tanks. Multiplayer is fun, most of them are good people except for the noobs asking why can't I bunnyhop lol. The good things no more sniper fest, cause there are very few sniper kids through a map. All in all I give this mod an 8/10, even though this is only the first release. In the far far far future this mod will be the bomb.
Will update infomation when I get a chance.

Guess i can review it to :p

Infantry-The bolt action rifles are fun :)Gameplay is a mix of bf2 and project reality, you still have to be tactical but much more fast paced. Most of the guns are good, the mg34 is awesome imo.The bren is a useless piece of junk, its single shot and takes around 3 seconds to iron sight, once in the iron sights you have a very very narrow field of vision.

Tanks-handle quite good i think, remember to push x for the scope people :)

Planes-Well i had quite a lot of dogfighting earlier and enjoyed it immensly. But the camera views on the planes are horrible, only a cockpit and rear view? Not good. The cannons are underpowered and require a lot of hits on even infantry. The mgs are bb guns. But i think the planes handle nice :)

Forgot about the bolt action rifle, they are one shot one kill I think, which is very annoying sometimes. mg34 do own even though they only have 50 bullets each round.

I recommend joining a squad for the full experience of the mod.

FH2 makes up for it because bots can and will go inside every building. I thought I was safe sniping in a little tower, but someone saw me go in so I turned around and saw a squad right behind me that opened fire.

Now on to the maps, one of the most hated map I think is the one in the night because you can't tell if they are german or british sometimes.

That's realistic. And that's good then, because that's what FH is for. Just learning the uniforms is far easier than whining to devs. They will never give in!

But most of the other maps are fun to play, except for the one with planes, cause we still have noobs killing each-other for the spit fire.

A problem that will probably last forever, noobs will never give up and smacktards will always TK.

The tanks are a little difficult to use but if you have played project reality before, it kind of similar but kind of not similar, using the tanks.

IMO the tank combat is better than PR. Seems to feel more clunky like they were in real life.

Multiplayer is fun, most of them are good people except for the noobs asking why can't I bunnyhop lol.

Give them time, the noobs will either adapt or be slaughtered into quitting within a few days.

Agreed. And it's no more one-shotting a pixel on the horizon, now it takes SKILL to use the rifles.

The bren is a useless piece of junk, its single shot and takes around 3 seconds to iron sight, once in the iron sights you have a very very narrow field of vision.

That's because you accidentally put it on 1-shot. The Thompson and the Bren both have full auto and single shot firing modes, use the correct one for the correct time.

Also, the Bren isn't supposed to be a beefed-up Thompson. You're supposed to sit on a windowsill or on the top of a building and mow people down while your men move it. It is NOT an assault weapon.

Planes-Well i had quite a lot of dogfighting earlier and enjoyed it immensly. But the camera views on the planes are horrible, only a cockpit and rear view? Not good.

It's realistic. You know you press X to look up to the sights of the gun right? That can cause some trouble. You're supposed to use your own first person sight to look around (hold down Ctrl and move the mouse, or get a macro). The rear view is there though because in real life pilots could look almost behind them, but the views won't let you do that from inside the cockpit in BF2.

I'm enjoying FH2 so far, I have no complaints. It's everything I wanted and expected it to be.

I love the way after your tank is damaged pretty good, it kinda limps along, a little more shaky.. very realistic, as if you're driving a damaged tank.

It's not everything I wanted and expected it to be.

It's MORE than everything I wanted and expected it to be! :)

OK you got me on the single fire thing, but the iron sights are atrocious and offer no field of view at all.

You aren't supposed to aim all the time. You can take off the sights, scan for targets, center your view around the enemy, bring up the sights, kill etc.

You've never fired any sort of rifle, have you? There is no field of view when looking down the sites of a rifle.

Actually there is, to perform good in combat you need to fire with both eyes open. Occasionally i shoot clay pigeons, with both eyes open. I talked to some guys who compete professionally, they do the same, it`s the only way. Some guys from police special forces also shoots there, they all shoot with both eyes open from all weapons - pistols, shotgun, smg-s, assault rifles and even sniper rifle. You quickly get used to it, it`s the only way to engage multiple targets

I spent 7 1/2 yrs in the US Army and they always taught us to close one eye when firing. Perhaps SF/SWAT/"professional" shooters train differently, but that's only after extensive training and after mastering how to fire properly before anything else.

Thats the way i was taught to shot by me dad, Who was in the British armies Scots Guards for 15 years. You aim with your dominante eye and scan with the other.

I just got done playing some more FH2 and this time I was paying attention. The guy that said there's no FOV is wrong.. you can see A LOT when looking down the sights.. a lot more than you would in real life if you are practicing basic rifle marksmanship.

Unless you're the one doing the shooting.

Seriously, if you have a problem with 1s1k, then FH is probably not the game for you.

Heh heh, I think bman427 is the first to actually copy my sig! Makes me happy! ;) Too bad I changed mine like 1 week ago... :( *It was still my idea...

Well I sure like Forgotten Hope 2, but what's with the Forgotten Hope (1) having like 8 different armies for BF1942 and now there's only Great Britain and Germany... There's a lot of good things I can say about the mod and I have a few changes/suggestions to add but I have to study for the dreaded finals tommorrow so I'll catch you guys later... Overall, great job on your first realease FH2 team... I'll be looking forward to new releases. Your one of my top 3 fav mods! ;)

I've not had this much fun with a FPS since BF42. Sure there are a few glitches but the FH team is legendary at fixing issues. Some of the animations are a little over the top and the suppression effects are too pronounced and everything seems to suppress you too easily.

Nice to get back to something that is more tactical than say a guy driving into a point and bunny hopping and healing until everyone in the radius until everyone is dead. That doesn't happen here.

Pacific theater will probably be next, for some reason (though they may be working on ALL of them at once).

We've seen screenshots of a WWII wake island, the HIJMS Hiryu, the US's DUKW, an SBD, and an A6M2. I think those are all pacific
