ModernRcon v0.4 Released!

Call of Duty HQ (http://www.codhq.com/) is back again with a new release of the ModernRcon. Check out what hes got to say:That's right - ModernRcon v0.4 is now available for download. The biggest most notable added feature will be the realtime in-game chat monitoring that we've added. Now be warned, this uses the PBUCON console, so it is not nearly as well-supported as the rest of the tool.

Also note, to use the chat monitoring portion of the tool, you will need access to your router / firewall to forward a UDP port of your choosing. If you follow on-screen guides you should be okay.

A brief listing of current features is as follows:

• Save servers to a server list.
• Configure basic settings (hardcore mode, auto-balance, friendly fire, etc).
• Realtime in-game chat monitoring thanks to PBUCON.
• Load new maps, configure gametypes, and setup map rotations.
• Schedule server messages and save those messages for loading later.
• And so much more!

Be sure to leave your feedback, and let me know if you have any questions or comments. Remember: you must have the latest version of JAVA to use ModernRcon!.

That has been something I've noticed the Total Network...when news is posted, often the original download links are not used, but instead files are put on Filecloud or some other location. This even happens when IW puts out a patch on their own site for download.

It would be nice if the original download links always listed here in the news, in addition to alternate/mirror sites.

Umm, You don't have to register to download. AS you both can see you can download. There have been 17 download so far. The origional download you have to register at HIS site. It's up to you. Download it where ever YOU wish.

When Dan or Spawn sees the post. THEY only have access to upload the files to the files system HERE.

I keep getting an error about it doesn't have hardcore mode in dvar settings on my server or something .. sure it runs ok, but that error each time i refresh is annoying.

Yep, I enjoy ModernRcon very much, been using it since v.1

At first, I didn't see the Download Now button either. My peripherals saw it but I thought they were just little link ad's

Come on Whiskey...you come from the planet sites, you should be used to sites only listing the file site which they use as their download mirror. ;)

I would have listed CODHQ but you have to register there to download. I figured I would help and upload it somewhere where you DON'T have to register. Dan will upload to the TGN network when he sees it.

Indeed they did do that as well, and would erase the direct link from news posts in favour of their partner sites...let's just say that I never agreed with that practice, either. ;)

Well if you want to spend 5 minutes registering on there site to download the file by all means do so. It's easier if the download was free to download. I never liked registering to download something real fast. The original source is ALWAYS listed. You are free to download how ever you wish.

it wasn't working before... I even tried it with IE and it didn't work, guess they just got it fixed when you checked it again.

Hey every time I use this, after I go in game and I Alt+Tab out, I just get a portion of the game in the area where the console it..if you understand. Like, I have to exit out then resign into the server with it every time I want to do something.
