How should they have distributed BF2142 Beta...

They should have sent out the BF2142 Beta copies to people who have BF2! We would type in our own BF2 CD Key and activate the Beta! Log into our own accounts with same password and username!

That would've been too easy. Playing "hunt the key" for the download is much more of a pain in the *** for us all.

That would not work with the new way that the players log in as far as the using your BF2 account goes.

Seeings how in all the articles they say that you make a main account and then from there create soldiers.

The CD key idea seems like it would work but you have to rember that its EA and bottem line is they want money and doing it this way would not be a good marketing tactic.

Yes, Ganz, but IMO it should have been a surprise. So there's no hype, no spam, no worrying that you won't get into the beta.

i think they handled the whole activation thing very badly, people that reinstall windows or have a hardware change are screwed and are left with a nasty error message when it comes to a reinstall and a dudd key.

I think the way EA did it was so that they could get the most money and hype about the BETA, not necessarily the most responses.
