Please though i see less people play lord of the rings than crysis infact i dont think anyone plays that came. I mean really too crysis doesnt need a super computer to play it! They need to stop worrying about if they can play it on high and play it on medium. As medium looks amazing!

How many millions play WoW? Its down to numbers and voting

Like sp44z says its totally useless, people will just vote for the games they love not the ones that are better in terms of engines, gameplay mechanices etc

World in Conflict and Crysis should be higher but then again when COD4 a game that is over in 5 seconds and has barely anything new or original going for it its easy to see why its a joke (sort of)

wel im not anti crysis i think its a fantastic game and engine, but you cant put down such a successful game as CoD4, it may be the same and over soon, but if thats what the public want, giving it to them makes it a success.

you dont need a 3000 computer to play crysis.

i just built my bud a computer and it only cost 1500 and it plays crysis with everything on high at 1680x1050 with no AA with frames rates around 40-50. even online with a full server.

i go to my friends house everyday just to play online cause my computer sucks with crysis online (damn cpu sucks but new c2d comes this friday :yay:)







now on to this thread. I dont think that crysis should be scored 8 but i really dont care. i love the game. i find it very fun and i get enjoyment from playing it.

im getting pretty sick of hearing people talk about how many people play cod4 compared to crysis. i play both and find them both fun to play. i can care less if half the world or only 1000 people play crysis. as long as i can play with some people online im happy.

people are putting crysis down cause you need to have top of the line parts to run the game AND have it look good at the same time. the game is ahead of its time for whats out for computer hardware. most people that have gaming computers have mid range computers that can run games LIKE call of duty and counter strike source and so on.

if crysis was released in a later time when computer hardware could handle the game well then people wouldn't be putting it down like they are.

i think people should stop looking else were for their opinions on crysis. half of the people that complain about how they think this game sucks NEVER played it or did but didn't really give it a shot. OR they judge it from playing the beta (which i find dumb being how beta is for testing for bugs not to show of the game play...)

i really hope that by next year this battle of which game is better stops.

is it so hard for people to grasp the fact that PC games are not built like console ones

they are not limited by inferior hardware or limitations they can stretch hardware as far and as much as the devs see fit

Crytek always stated that the Cryengine2 was built to last, the Very High setting was implemented (along with a lot of other behind the scenes eye candy) with future proofing in mind so that the game would still look mind blowing months after release

Crysis has the best engine now and will probably have the best engine in the near future, regardless of whether or not we are playing on very high

I can play it on very high with very few problems. The framerate is a little low but it's still playable in SP.

Crysis deserves to be higher up on that list :cool:

Do you think 25 FPS is lag? In SP it's OK, but you can't do anything in MP without dying :p So, it's playable but not much more. I usually play with high/a few medium settings with 40 FPS in MP, good enough for me.

I have a 8800 GTS 512 mb card btw.

The only games that even remotely deserved to be on the list in front of Crysis, were COD4 and Orange Box. There has to be a "reason" why a game is better than others, and technically theres no reason for WiC nor Bioshock to be in front of Crysis.

COD4 deserves its spot because its the best multiplayer game since 2005
Orange box deserves to be high on the list because its a bundle of awesome games for a low price

And thats it, the rest are sub par games, really. Then, Crysis was the only one on the list with an innovative SP game that ditched the shackles and gave the player complete and total freedom, aswell as give the playerbase THE most fun and easy to use editor ever conceived.

If i set everything to High at 1680 without aa i can easily hold 60 fps in multiplayer. You should check out whats up you have 2 gtx's. I'm in vista 64 bit.

Vash2051 i dont play for the eyecandy,thats why im playing with that rez.
im one of those ppl there play for the speed ingame (WITHOUT LAG)
and btw i wish at i could use 4AA without shaders :cry:
next year when the 9800 cardas is out,will i still be playing at that rez :nod:
