i just got one for preordering at my gamestop, its really cool...i guess i got it cuz i work there, we only had like 4 of them...anyways it comes with crysis footage a rank up and command and conquerer 3 stuff...sorry if this was already posted, just letting everyone know they should reserve it at their local game store if they want the cool stuff :)

well, just pre-ordered and paid full for BF2142 and got my flash drive. the C&C 3 trailer was very cool and the concept art for the new GDI harvester looks evil.

One question about the rank upgrade: when do we enter the code on the site? Can we do it now if we have a veteran name held or do we download it when we first get online with the new game? It's not specific.

if you've pre-ordered the game they should have given you a box with the drive and upgrade code in it. go back to them and tell them either refund your money so you can find a store that has the pre-order stuff or give you your rightful stuff. According to my box (since it has both logos on it), it looks like gamestop or Electronic Boutique is the best place to go.

It's not hard to rank up early at all, the ranks are so close it doesn't matter. I wish you could save those free rankups so you could rank at higher levels. ;)

im not sure, but this code is valid until March 31st 2007, so maybe itl let ya hold off for a few ranks :P

I don't think anyone thinks there's just going to be 1 unlock per rank, that would take forever and it only took like six months to get all the BF2 ranks. (because of the long friggin time it took to get those 30,000 points for sergeant major.)

sorry to disapoint but you only get 1 unlock per rank-up. I'm in the beta. first 4-5 ranks go pretty fast and then it starts to slow down..each rank requires more points to get to the next. Getting a lot of points in Titan mode is harder than conquest mode in bf2. 22 points is considered a high score in titan mode. you do get extra career points by gaining medals, pins, and ribbons. also squad leaders gain career points through certain actions.

And no I want tell you the best unlocks..thats like giving you all the answers to a test. I will tell you Assault and Support are the best classes in Titan mode for geting the most kills.

they actually came up with 40 ranks? how did they name them all? what is it, recruit all the way to commander in cheif?

here's the big question then, can we still get all the unlocks without having to go for veteran and expert badges? BF2 was great in that you needed the awards to get better versions of a rank but you didn't need them to get unlocks so that only the leet among us could get all the goodies.
