On many gaming websites it states that Bf2142 will be for sale Oct 10th.

I was thinking, with the beta goin on right now maybe in a week the open beta will happen, or maybe even in two weeks. This gives the producers a small timeframe to fix the bugs and make the product ( packaging, cd's whatever). Im not too sure if they will have enough time to weed stuff out if they try to meet this oct 10 date. I rather see the game be bug free than them feeding the hype with an early release

They have a whole month silly, for all we know the games DONE with the exception of bugs which they can release a patch for after it hits market.

If the beta test is going to last for a while, they have less than a month to make cd's and everything for the final product and ship it to stores. Either its that, or they start doing it now, and the beta testing won't even matter. Unless they will already have patches ready after the release thanks to beta testing.

I think its probably going to be released on Oct 10-13, still with some bugs from the beta that will be fixed with a patch asap, so I agree with where GanzHMG2142 is going with.

Its a estimated releasedate. They can push it a week or a couple of days, if they need to work more on the game.

This game is so balanced and has huge potential, but unfortunately, a couple of bugs let it down at the moment. Let's just hope all of them get addressed.

if they have to delay the game release for solving problems and bugs then its fine for me....may be they will solve all this things with some tipe of patch some days after the game release because they already are burning the cds...i dunno but they will solve all this bugs as soon as its possible

They have plenty of bugs on there hands to fix from all the testing i've done..Hope they get the major ones fixed before they release it..minor bugs I don't mind as long as it's patched soon after release.

I think the game is done they just have to get rid of the bugs and polish it before release.. It was a really good idea to have this open beta because a lot of people are reporting bugs and giving feedback including myself. DICE is listening too..they post/read on the fileplanet beta forum.

Yeah, I think they should release it with a few bugs in the beta, and quickly release a hotfix within a month. I'd do anything to get my hands on the full game. :(

The way i figure it, the beta that has just happened, the tuning one was to fix bugs before they mass produce DVD copies of the game, the public beta coming up is just for server stress testing and stats tracking information etc, so if they learn anything to fix from the public beta the changes will be to server software and things at their end, nothing that goes onto the DVD/CD of the game... well at least thats my 2 pence about it.

Thats prolly just a date they gave the people doing the pre-orders so they have something to tell people.

I will not be surpirsed nor dissapointed if it gets delayed.

The KEY words there are "very rarely." ;) I have complete confidence in EA's abitlity to f*** this up. I actually have confidence that Dice is working for the best game possible, they just have the 900lb Gorilla saying "Ship by..."

BF2 also shipped with a host of bugs (as has EVERY BF game,) but the gameplay still won out at the end of the day. And while 1.3 is probably the worst patch in the history of online gaming, I have to hope they've learned from their mistakes. Without having played the beta, past experience tells me to expect them to miss the early October release date, but make it in time for the Post-Thanksgiving shopping blitz.

My thing that is bugging me the most is... Should I wait and see a review wait a day or to or should I pre order or should I get it gameday release? I hate some of the bugs in bf2 to the point that If it happens (CTD) more then twice I wont play the game for a week. I head CTD happend at E3 and Im sensing that its happening now in the beta I wish I can find out. If this bug is happening in this, it would mean a major flaw in the gameengine itself.

So im stuck on what to do! Dosnt help that I have to go back to college in Sept, If I get the game Im going to game liek crazy and miss classes lol

You can bet the same bugs that were persistent in BF2 and not fixed will be present in 2142 without a doubt. They are bugs we all hate, but bugs that EA and DICE can live with.

These include but are not limited to:
-CTD's (regardless of system power)
-Red/Blue Bug
-Various Teamkilling bugs

A glose friend of mine who works for GameStop (where I pre-ordered it and got the pre-order kit already) said their computers state that the game will start to ship on the 18th of October and arive the 19th-22nd depending on shipping method when ordered online or the 20th instore. Ofcourse this can all change but that is what the employees are being told as of today.
