If there was a site/community dedicated to helping clans/gamers what would you like to see.

I would like a sort of "google" for clans. Find all of their sites, without having to search 8 different forums to get a guy's xfire to ask him, so I can challenge them. That is what I want.

Organized recruitment forum.

Without clicking on a thread I want to know if a player wants a competitive (ie. TWL/CAL) clan, how old they are and where they live. Each game should have it's own forum for this purpose as the site grows large enough.

Going on that, maybe a form they can copy, with everything you may want to know. Hours of play, skill level, rank, favorite weapon, game type all of that.

And I want a separated area for clans and people looking for clans. Not like Charlieoscardelta with every clan posting in the people looking are. Keep them separated.

Yeah, a recruitment area would need to be moderated and seperate "in search of clan" and "in search of members" would be great as long as it's enforced.

Here there's entirely too much bumping and definitely too many people who just spam every single thread regardless of whether that person is still even looking for a clan. These people contribute nothing and ought to be subject to losing their recruitment privileges IMO lol.

I think a large website that had both clan and league information all in one spot would be awesome. I've been trying to sort through various clan/league information and it just seems as if everything is all over the place these days.

If someone, or a group of people, were willing to launch a new website that addressed these issues by centralizing the entire competitive gaming experience, I would gladly volunteer either my web design skills, or my writing skills. If there are interested parties in this idea, I would love to collaborate some ideas via IM.

It's about time that PC Gaming gets a competitive website 'hub' that makes it easy to sort out what's going on. This could be community driven through relevant news and forums.

I'm sure there are a bunch of people on here that are willing to mod that area. I personally would love to be able to do it.

Also, if there is an "in search of clan" area, they NEED to post once they have found a clan.

Another thing. Maybe like you can have your registered name, like for example me, I use TSlaw. Then have an area in your profile, to add a clan tag, like BF2 the prefix area. So if you get booted, or you dislike them, you don't have to make a new account. Like the [42SRT] is stuck to my name permanently, and I have to get another account if I don't want it anymore. That would suck.

Maybe a links area, with all the CoD4 leagues/ladders in one area. So a link for the TWL and CAL areas. You know?

Clan profiles would be awesome, a logo, a website, a description, leaders/founders, a roster and such. Would be sick for a website.

getting quotes as i type this. will keep you informed.
If anyone here has the skills pm me also a price for the following

I'm looking for a script that sends info to a database aswell as retrieves it..

It will consist of

Recruitment page for clans looking for members
Recruitment page for members looking for clans
League page, list of leagues for different games

The main part will be a drop down menu which will list the above. i.e if they pick clans recruiting, it will show the clans recruiting and the add placed

or

if they pick mebers looking for clans it will list all the member ads.

on these ads it will list things like

Name, age, location, email, messenger contact, clan tag, fun or league, if league which league, previous clans, game splayed, time played, etc etc...and profile pages as suggested above...

If possible it would be good if it could integrate with vbulletin login, member database.

Also have some sort of admin backend which can approve ads, close them, edit them etc..

At present i'm just getting the costings together so i know how much I have to raise for the total project, this is just one part of the project..

What forum sections would you like to see, maybe this part can be up first...

Hey another thing. If a clan is "in search of members" have an option for them like a check box. Either

"Recruiting"
or
"Not recruiting"

You know?
