There is a new update posted today over at the Project Reality (http://www.realitymod.com/) mod website. Here's what they had to say:

Project Reality v0.71 Patch Update
With the release of Project Reality v0.7 now over two weeks old, we have received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from the community, but our work is far from over with v0.7. As expected with any major release, some issues have been identified that we are currently working to address in a patch, including the well known commander asset bug. Our current plan of attack is to release two separate patches on two separate dates. The first will be a server-side patch that will address some of the more critical bugs found in v0.7. Shortly after the server-side patch, we then plan on releasing a client-side patch. More information on what will be fixed and changed in the patch will come at a later date, but rest assured we are working hard behind closed doors to make the Project Reality experience the best it can be.

Royal Air Force Harrier GR9 W.I.P.
We have also begun pre-production on our next release, Project Reality v0.8. While still in the very early planning stages, we would like to present you with some eye-candy from what we plan on being one of the center pieces in v0.8, the Royal Air Force Harrier GR9. We decided to completely scrap our original GR7 model and replace it with the jaw-dropping new GR9 model and texture from our very own [R-DEV]Stigger. To complete the new Harrier, Stigger also modeled its entire payload, including the Lockheed Martin Paveway II LGB (Laser Guided Bomb), AGM-65 Maverick missile, and the Brimstone Anti-Armour missile. These new ordinance models will not be limited to just the Harrier GR9, but will also be outfitted on various other aircraft.

If you wish to add some Project Reality goodness to your PC desktop, be sure to download the new PR Harrier GR9 Wallpaper Pack (http://media.realitymod.com/wallpaper/zips/pr_harrier_wallpaper_pack.zip). Included in the .zip are three color variations of the wallpaper, each available in the following sizes: 1024x768, 1280x1024, and 1200x1600.

I am having some problems with the game. I have updated my bf2 with the 1.41 patch several times and I have reinstalled PR several times and I still can get on the servers because it says my version is out dated.

Make sure you download 0.7 CORE and LEVEL files to play PR.

ok so i just download the level file. only problem is that it downloaded as a firefox .htm file for whatever reason. how do i change that and get it to work. and why is bf2 so painful to deal with?

Quick question:

How are the mavericks going to function? I assume you won't be able to implement a proper guidance system, so will it just be similar to how the F-15 fires its laser guided missiles?

And, I know it doesn't matter, but is it the D or K version? Infra Red/Optical.

.htm is not the right file. The mirrors for both files can be found here: http://www.realitymod.com/filelinks.html

If you continue to have problems, post on our forums.

We have a proper guidance system... i guess you havent played .7 and seen all the new systems? Its not like BF2!

Well, I have played 0.7...

I mean, isn't the Maverick supposed to have a seperate interface within the plane? That's what I was getting at.

Can some one from PR tell Stigger that Sir. Xios worked on the exact Harrier 69A a few weeks ago at RAF Cottesmore, haha.

Keep the work up lads, looking good! :D

TRACK IR support in a future release??

Doubt it Jay... the way the cockpit functions already you can't free look whilst using weapon/control systems - which I really don't understand. There's little point to free looking , in the scheme of things, when you can't change direction/use weapons while doing so.

Yep Sir. Xios is an RAF Engineer.
A lot of sir. members seem to have aspirations to be in the airforce, good career from what I hear!
I am a Merchant Navy Engineering Officer myself. :D

We tried to get that into BF2 before but had no joy, impossible to get it working with PR as a result.
