Extract the contents of this zip to your Call Of Duty 4
Folder (example: C:\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\zone\german(or your language))

or

place both .ff files in your
"COD4/usermaps/mp_subway/"

or

COD4/
miles
Mods
main
zone
usermaps <---- Create this new folder

usermaps/mp_mynewmap <----- Create another new folder

usermaps/mp_mynewmap/mp_mynewmap.ff <--- New map goes here

I dont know which way is the Right but i will test it!

Ensure you have downloading enabled to make things a little easier (you wont have to download of the web, the game downloads the mod/map for you ;)).

Maybe you should also tell people how to open the map.

Just go to the server browser, set the filter option 'Mods' to yes, sort by map, click on the one running 'mp_subway' and it will download by itself. It's definitely worth a try, the map is very well made.

I think I did that way before I posted. I'm having troubles running it on modwarfare. Can this be run on modwarfare or will I have to run it from another mod. I don't care much for hardcore!

Everytime I join my server the game crashes just after downloading the map from my FTP. It must be something in the server.cfg that I have setup. I guess i'll have to try again tonight.:yay:

Don't waste your time. There's a bug with the current version of the map that makes it crash for many people. Same here.

You can wait for an update or try the previous version of the map, no bug there.

I thought it was my setup or something. I was trying it with the mp_subway but I found another one called mp_subway_beta which people are not having problems with. I also found two more maps I will try tonight as well.

I had everything setup the right way it was caused by the map being corrupt. I downloaded another one called mp_subway_beta and it works great.

Subway map is out of beta stage and everything works now.

The Village is an awesome map. It is very big map with a good mixture. It looks like one of the single player map from the first of the game. It is well worth running on a server.

I must be doing something wrong as I don't see that map listed anywhere when I try ans start a server, I have the .ff file (there's only one file ?) in this location.

When you're in the menu, open your console and type /map mp_village - or whichever map you want to load, You'll probably have to launch a mod though.

Thanks for that, unfortunately I can't access the console with or without a mod loaded. It's usually the key under the Esc button isn't it, although my UK keyboard shows the ~ key next to the return key.

First, be sure you have "Enable Console" activated in the Options->Game Options section.

Then try the "~" key, wherever it is located.
