CoD4 Mod Tools for Single Player

So, the mod tools are finally out. At last, I get get my hands on the aitype and character files and whatnot. However, I can't actually modify them and use them in the game! I edit the desired files, stick them in a perfectly functional .IWD and put them in the Main folder, and nothing happens!
I can tell the .IWD works because there's also some image files in the .IWD that work fine in-game.
Does anyone know anything about editing the scripts in the game that aren't normally contained in any of the .IWDs in the Main folder?

this isnt really the best place to be asking this mate try modsonline.com or the IW forums they can help you there.. .and as far as i know you can mod the sp but only t oa certain degree

Did you try making a mod and putting it in the mod folder?
