Frost Episode 3 Released

Snoken Productions (http://www.snoken.net/), in collaboration with Walmart Security (http://www.walmartsecurity.ws/), has released the third episode in their highly popular Frost series. Take a look:

It's been a long time since the last episode of Frost was released, though it feels like only yesterday. The past 6 months have been very hectic; we've had a lot of work to do on very tight schedules with school and work.

I hope that you are all still eager to see if Steve and Mike will make it back to their time. The third episode of Frost has a lot more content than the previous episodes. It's more than half an hour long with five new voice actors, one of them being Gordon Van Dyke, the Associate Producer on Battlefield: Bad Company.

I want to thank all of those who've been supportive and shown interest in our work despite the long wait. I also want to thank Walmart Security for providing us with server power to host our movies on Snoken.net, both via Download and a High-Res Divx Stream. Most of all I'd like to thank Fnotte for making this episode possible, he's spent many hours of hard work on this episode doing voice acting, music, an amazing intro, and much more.

Definitely worth the wait. And that was a damn cool intro. Admittedly, I was a bit miffed that the end didn't exactly resolve anything - but hey, that means there's definitely going to be more Frost movies. Nice work, guys! :D

I really enjoyed the editing, but to be honest I felt swamped in dialogue with a strong desire for more action as opposed to a mildly entertaining tour of suez canal. Did I miss the point? Just felt things dragged on at times.

yes this is what i meant, the movie was awesome no doubt, but im used to shorter productions with more action and gags.

Apreciate all of your comments, and we do realise that this episode was a bit too heavy on the dialouge, and that in the future we will try to find a equlibrium between dialouge and gags.

Thought the story was dull. One or two funny jokes but not nearly enough action. FF a lot of it. The guy with the screechy voice was annoying. However.....

Opening sequence was cool. For want of a better term, the cinematography in the opening sequence was awesome. The anime style title sequence was very very excellent indeed.

It is edited. The sound of a low pass .50 cal has been layerd with the original sound to make it sound beefy in the closeups.

That would be Fnotte's wonderful composition work - all music in Episode 3 is original I believe (Correct me if I'm wrong Black Wolf).

Guess we'll just have to wait for that soundtrack, heh.

As a 2142 movie maker and critic (self acclaimed, but most people respect my ratings) I must say that I was disappointed. Frost Ep. 1 was AWESOME, and off the scale. Frost Ep. 2 was ten times better than one. And then comes along three. I downloaded it for the full experience, and was EXTREMELY excited while it was downloading. FINALLY, another episode of Frost! I opened it up, and got a bunch of codec errors. No biggie, I just downloaded a codec package and the movie started.

First three minutes I was so excited, excellent footage, sound quality, camera positions, storyline and action... In other words the first 2:45 was the definition of 1337. It was PERFECT! Then came the rest.

While quality was still good (camera positions and sound quality were still awesomely done), the actual "Action" and "Dialogue" was rather bland... It really seemed like you guys were trying too hard to be funny. And WTF happened to Steve's voice? Did you get a different Voice actor? I never got used to that either.

All in all, the reason I was disappointed was because it was different from the others. It just didn't seem "Frosty". Ep. 1 & 2 were about two soldiers from the 21st century lost in the year 2142, fumbling around and witnessing (+causing) all sorts of mayhem. This one was more about a squad full of bumbling idiots...

While it did have several HILARIOUS parts, it just wasn't the same. Don't get me wrong; it was an awesome movie... It (in my opinion) just didn't live up to its predecessors.

Thanks a lot for the long review and I really appreciate you giving us your opinions.It helps a lot when people gives constructive criticism. We will definitely try to improve the Ep4 story and make it as "Frosty" as the older ones :)

Yeah, Steve sounded completely different in Frost 3 compared to the other films, it confused the hell out of me for a little while. You should definitely bring back the filters in the next episode :)

Wow that episode was pretty long compared to the last 2 episodes, but it was still pretty good. I found it was a bit more serious than the last 2 as well, not that that's a bad thing. It reminded me of RvB and I wouldn't mind subtitles.

Anyway it was great, keep up the good work
