This is interesting. I don't have the materials to try this out, unfortunately. However, it certainly would be interesting to see if anyone else can get this working. As an avid gunship pilot myself, I am not really sure if this would help or hurt my flying in the long run (after I got used to it).

I think there is an aspect of "that is just so cool it doesn't matter if it's practical." =P

Also, to each their own. I can't stand flying keyboard only. Not enough fine grain control.
