hi there

i was given this this address to get help with this map, i know its not BF2 but i was told you could still help me (hopefully)


its the first map ive ever made, and ive hit some errors that i cant get my head around.

i've asked plenty of other experienced COD mappers but none of them would help me (apparantly im too much of a noob, so im guessing they're basic stuff)

if anyone can help me, please please do, its a clan map and i really dont want to let them down...

See at the top of the screen where it says "Total COD4" ?

Yeah A8Horus, mapping is very, very different for BF2 as compared to CoD4. I'd advise that you ask your question at CharlieOscarDelta.com = the CoD user community site.

CharlieOscarDelta or just try TCOD4 here on tgn.
From the screenshot it seems you'd have a problem with several models or entities. I suggest you go through tutorials and forums to look for the answer.

My advice to the original poster, this is not the site you want to visit. It's mostly populated with noobs and immature people.

Instead, try the forums at infinityward.com and iwnation.com. You'll find more knowledgable folks there. Some can be arrogant, but most will try to help you out. Infinityward.com forums have a PC/Mapping section specifically: http://www.infinityward.com/community/forum/index.php?board=40.0

They also have a modding section.

Yeah, Whiskey is once again right on the money with his advice. I keep getting CharlieOscarDelta mixed up with the Infinity Ward site... I have a brain cramp with this for some reason... :wall:

Anyways, the mapping section he recommends is pretty good there, too. :nod:

thanks for the replies guys, but i've given up on mapping

i had planned to do a load of shipment style maps for a server, but since i cant get around these errors... well i packed it in

im leaving mapping to those that have been doing it for a while
