I haven't been able to get my copy of Games for Windows (http://www.gamesforwindows.com/) magazine yet but the guys over at Planet Battlefield (http://planetbattlefield.gamespy.com/) have kindly posted up info they have gathered from the Battlefield Heroes (http://www.battlefield-heroes.com/) article. Check it out:

General Information:
• Community management team a lot larger than any other Battlefield game
• Game has "telemetry technology" that gives feedback on items people buy and how characters are setup
• Entire game is 3rd person so you can see the customizations your player has. Also allows you to see your player blown into the air. If 1st person is really wanted it can be changed over time.
• Assorted taunts and emotes
• Any abilities you have show at the bottom of the HUD
• No command rose like BF2
• Holding Q opens 6 panels each allows you to select a jeer, wisecrack, or suggestive body language. These can be bought with points just like abilities
• Players have a lot more health
• Weapons less lethal
• Spawn time shorter (5 seconds)
• Firefights last longer giving time to use unlockable abilities
• Vehicles spawn when you arrive at the point (no waiting)
• "Intelligent Spawn System" spawns players close to the action
• Both lone wolf and competitive clan play encouraged
• Cannot switch kits mid match
• Choose abilities before you start a game
• Idea to do a cartoon Battlefield dates back to Battlefield 1942, Lars Gustavsson envisioned something like BFH

what do they mean by "1st person is really wanted it can be changed over time." ?

# Bomb Bouquet (non official name) - throw 15 grenades at a time, basically handheld artillery strike

AHAHAHAHAH! aw man i love this kind of random violence in games :D

It means that DICE is not sure if they are gonna have the game just 3rd person. If people want 1st that much, they will have both 1st and 3rd. I read it last night :p

i guess depending on how the 3rd person view is, maybe 1st person wont be that much needed, but i'd feel alot better having it in case 3rd person doesnt feel right, it cant be that hard for the devs to put both ingame can it?

anyway, cant say anything until i see what 3rd person is like.

just went to the comments on the website where the info is, i just hate how ppl keep saying its a rip-off TF, yes maybe they got the idea of TF and its cartoony but doesnt mean its automatically a rip-off, from that point of view every game in there is a rip-off of the first game of the kind in the early 80's...

sorry about this rant but this people really piss me off...

"Run with it: According to DICE, Heroes ought to run on a rig with specs as low as 1GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, 64MB video card, and 500MB free hard drive space." so we got a general idea of specs required to run the game, i can run this on my old hp!
