We're back today with yet another new forum feature for our community, but this time it's a fun one! The Total Gaming Network (http://www.totalgamingnetwork.com/) is happy to announce a new arcade section (http://www.totalgamingnetwork.com/main/arcade.php) to our forums (http://www.totalgamingnetwork.com/main/index.php). Here is a little bit about this new arcade we have setup for you all:

This provides you all with a professional Arcade fully integrated in your vB Forum. Members can play games, hunt for high scores, and do tournaments.

Arcade UserCP
Each user can set his own preferences for the Arcade: Game sorting, games/scores per page, notifications, skin, default category.

Advanced Game Statistics
A lot of information is provided for each game: Best scores of all time, your personal best result, actual high score champion, game-rating, times played, time played.

Tournaments
Users can create tournaments with open slots where other players can join in. Most all games will be set to be selectable for tournaments.

Right now there are only eight games installed, but over the coming days and weeks we will be adding many more for your pleasure. Remember that all forum rules still apply in the arcade and we ask that you respect everyone. We hope this can be a fun addition to the forums that everyone can enjoy. It doesn't seem to submit scores consistently, everytime i've done well it hasnt submitted :( should have highscore in lunar lander and simon.

Odd. It won't submit all your scores though because it's only set to keep your high score for each game. This is so it doesn't collect thousands and thousands of scores. :p

Never, EVER use the back button when playing in the Arcade. I got a high score on Simon and it decided to not record it. Fail. :(

The pause feature in Tetris has problems. During the last game I played I pressed pause and it said "pause" but pieces continued to fall. Prior to this it was working fine.

Played snake for 5 minutes, beat Vash's score by like 800, and after pressing Ok, got to a screen which said "This score was not submitted from the game. Your score will not be saved".

That missile game would be fun yeah, let me know if you get in contact with the creator and we'll see if we can get it. I've been adding a few games everyday now since we've gone live with it so will continue to do that. I'll check out the games posted over at the vB community boards. :)

you know the funniest thing though a few days before you announced the arcade i was dicking about with this script on our forums its really cool the community over at vbulletin.org is a amazing one its like a class of ubar leet people who are honored to use vbulletin. im verry proud of my vbulletin ive made some many mods for it. it by far is the best.

Ok and again i beat Wolfgang's highscore but now in Speed Ball and of course...:mad: It didn't save again :wall:

EDIT 2: Ok just did DTunnel again and got the highscore again, but it didn't save ( again )

The first time you try to submit it will work, it wont look like it is doing anything, but it works.

If you submit once, and then just keep on playing and try to submit again, it will not work.

You have to refresh your window after every time you submit if you intend on continue playing.

Guys, realize we don't make the flash games so if there is something wrong with their score keeping, we can't do anything about it. I'm sorry.

With that being said though, are you doing what Tren said?

We could, but it wouldn't keep the scores. The flash games have to be a special format to work with the arcade plugin.

Bounce isn't the best game, you get like 2's and 3's and then once in a while it glitches and you get 48 or 55, but you have to refresh in-between each play for it to work.

I'm getting cheated out of high scores here. I just got a score of 95 on tiles and it didn't register :(

Every game I add I try to test thoroughly to make sure that it reports the high score before I add it. All three, including Tiles, seemed to work fine for me.

One thing I did notice, however, was that if you just 'stop playing' and go over to check high scores it wont be there.

In order for Tiles to report you have to either:
a) Run out of time
or
b) Get the "No more moves available" message and click 'Ok'

Regarding games that don't save - You only get one play per click.

If you replay games, they won't save. If you want to replay the same game, close the new tab/browser, and re-click it again in the main menu of games.

Never, ever, ever click replay.
