From the Crymod Modding Portal: Project Efflux is a total conversion mod under development by two Creative Computer Games Design majors - Riverghost and Novu. The mod is a part of their final year's major project. The project leaders tell us a bit about their mod.
Project Efflux is a total conversion of the Crysis engine for a multiplayer only action game. Gameplay is focused around infantry and vehicle combat in a space environment, with players fighting in Zero-G in space, and also fighting intense close quarter battles within large capital ships.
Players choose to fight as one of two races, the sentient space borne aliens known as Misians, and the descendants of humanity, the AOM (Alliance Of Man). Misians are lithe, agile, lizard like creatures, who’s mastery of zero-g manoeuvrability offsets their limited durability. AOM Forces on the other hand, are power armour enhanced human soldiers, whose advanced technologies give them the edge in power and strength, at the sacrifice of agility.
The game is objective based, with each team attempting to destroy the others capital ship, either by sabotage of internal components onboard the opposition ship, or externally, through the use of anti ship weapons and vehicles.
