The developers of BattleCry: Redemption have posted an update:
Today we would like to give you an update on the BattleCry: Redemption team and their work-in-progress F-22 Raptor. BattleCry focuses on creating a near-realtime combat simulator featuring the latest tech from the military, such as the Aurora hypersonic plane and the F-22 Raptor. This update showcases the progress the team has made on the F-22 Raptor, an advanced fighter-bomber made by Lockheed Martin and Boeing.
Mod Progress
The team is making progress on the aviation models present in BattleCry. For the past few days the team leader IrishDeviant has been focusing on recreating a virtual Raptor. There is still a lot of work to be done on it, but it's taking shape quite nicely.
The leader, IrishDeviant, is also working on getting heightmap images downloaded and prepared for importing into the Sandbox. This will probably take quite some time to finish.
The song Frontlines has been chosen to be the title track of BC:R. However, this is still pending finalization until the producers give permission. Military Sponsorship
IrishDeviant, the mod team leader, has a brother is in the US Navy who's been enlisted for around twenty years and has suggested that the team gets sponsorship from the US Military, similar to Battlefield 2142 military advertisements. The sponsorship would help pay for things like purchasing models to decrease development time, buying a server to host the MMO, and hiring some programmers for coding tasks.
