So what's the best way to report cheaters?

I was on the -Q- city maps server today and "SiLeNtScOpE296" was mowing down everyone with a voss. I got to have a few "clean" (and very brief- like tenth of a second and then, dead) 1 on 1's with him in the round and it just felt wrong. So the end of the round comes up and silentscope296 took the #1 spot with the voss, naturally. His accuracy was a ridiculous 112% according to the stats.

So then i start bitching about it, but of course no one reads chat/cares, so he never gets kicked. The only people who even responded said "112% accuracy? Sounds about right." And a few of his team mates saying "Cry more," or similar.

So I just bailed in a ball of flame. It irritates me when people cheat- but it infuriates me when people cheat, and no one cares.

So- what can I do now? I read that Dice got rid of stat padders and such. Where can one send reports?

Don't sweat it. 112% accuracy sounds good to me. Keep in mind that with PK rockets you can kill 2 people per shot making it a 200% shot.
Also, when you encounter a cheater (hacker) just bail the server and find another one with admins. Yesterday I wanted to have a match against Shazanelli. However there were two aimbotters on the server. Just left the server and went on. You can not do anything against those cheaters.
Even if they are banned, there are ways for them to circumvent it and go on cheating everyones asses.

Yeah im just filling out a report to EA like the sticky says. But I didn't even get a screenshot so I doubt they'll do anything. Probably just email the -Q- guys. I know im probably wasting my time.

the accuracy thing is a bug. Theres one in my Xfire screenshots where i got 165% accuracy. Another time i got like 200% accuracy but did not screenshot it.

i think there is a sticky about reporting cheaters.

what was his score? if it was 40-50 kills and less than 10 deaths i really doubt he was hacking. maybe if it was FoB or something caus on Q you got 64 players with 2 LAAAAME APCs and 2 ANNOOOYYYING walkers to deal with before you can get to the juicy human targets. eh or,, eh i dont know you kind of have to be there. **note to yourself** screenshots are gOOd.

i dont know WHY on earth you would waste your precious time being alive reporting haxors, cry more. Why do so many people see haxors and I dont?? its wierd caus i play this game like 3 hours a day at least. kind of perspective thing if you know what im sayin

this guy aint hacking. hes one of those leutenant general guys and has played for 49 days. Hes just one of those guys thats got a big computer with water cooling and 2 8800GTX Ultras in his comp with a T1 internet connection. kind of like this guy whos on my list

But basically yeah- it felt wrong, every time. The TTK was always too short, even from long distance. Like about how little time it would take to drop someone with all headshots on full auto say... that kinda "feels wrong."

played with this guy and i ALMOST thought that he was aimbotting caus he always tacked up identical or superior scores to my voss nub tactics while using a Zeller(wtf?) but then he just said that he used a fog hack and had a 30in monitor or something huge like that.

When I check on silentscope296 it says he's offline and last played on some other server. When I click on him in the server's rankings on that stats page I'm taken to some other player called Jayzin11.

What's up with that?

I know what you mean. I watched this guy on battlerecorder that i was phlabberghasted at how good he was ("wut? ME pWNT?? WTF?) and saw that he almost sprayed at distant targets and intstadropped them like he was down on the beach at CAmp G and i was sprinting sideways up at the mouth of the ramp and he instadrops me with some gay sprays from his voss. and then i watched him further and oberved him staring through the wall of this cargo container with a knife out looking at some dumb support camper. Then another time when he tried to knife me he was REALLY BAAD at it so i kind of wondered how he could be SO horrible at knifing and SOO good at shooting. that and he tried to knife a few more people that he stared at through buildings.

EDIT: As for being on topic, it was probably just someone masquerading as him. In all reality, hes not THAT great a player. He just hides in his titan guns all day. Supreme Commanders are fun targets for Name Hackers to get at, so thats quite possible. I dunno.

I got some matches with him talking on a cheating site forum, and his profile that shows he is a "gold" (paying) member on the cheat site.

absolutely pathetic. So Silentscope296 isn't even his real account. Jayzin11 is.

To be honest, I wouldn't worry too much about the accuracy the end of round briefing gives, it's more often than not, not too accurate in itself. I've had well over 1000% accuracy on a number of occasions. It's the rate of killing and the movement of the player you should watch out for most.

yeah and if they're killing multiple people through the fog barrier even though your sight distance is already 100% you just cant see what the'yre shooting for some wierd reason. i stood behind this guy i thought was haxing (78-2 or some gay crap) he was at the mouth of toll station looking into the alley beside central he fires a wierd cadence of shots (noob doesnt even know how to shoot a krylov) and i see him score 3 kills and im like "uhh i cant even see them lol." IM BLIND NOOO

That's the thing though- it isn't scopes. It was a name hack that I didn't realize until I checked the server's stats. Scopes name was up there on the server's current in game list. But if you clicked on his name for his full stats you got this other guy named Jayzin11. That's who the cheater really is. I googled his name and found him asking about hacks in BF2 and his profile to a cheat site displaying his paying member status. So yeah- I'm pretty confident that this guy was a cheater and that I've just got to send out some more emails to folks.

Just go through EA Support... Although techinically... EA deals with breaking the RoC; aka Stat Padding or Glitching. Hacks are Punkbuster's domain... I don't really see what you can do in this situation.

I was suspicious of a guy who one shot killed me from some ridiculous distance with krylov. So I kick voted him. Admin said to say why you kick vote so that there wouldn't be random kick votes, which is understandable. I didn't exactly have proof of any wrong-doing, so I just let it go.

That's the only time I can think of where I thought someone was cheating and tried to do something about it. Most of the time I don't complain and just let things go because there are some people who just play too much and are very good at this game! If you are wrong when you accuse someone then you just look like an ***. I have been accused of hacking and I'm not even that good!

a noob question- why does the server kick you if you have a ping over 300? at home mine is usually 100- 200 (maybe- idk), but at school i am frequently kicked from the server because of this. another question- if you are kicked from the server for cheating, do you still get all your points you got through cheating?

Your ping is your response time from the server. The higher your ping is, the longer it is taking your computer to communicate with the server. This is when you will experience lag. Servers will kick you for a high ping because it is not only difficult for you to shoot others, but it is difficult for them to shoot you too. It detracts from the whole mp experience. You should only play on a high speed connection on servers where you have a good latency. When you join a mp game, try to get on the ones that have a green bar next to them. These servers have the best latency for you.

strange- i only join servers with good latency. heres the thing. i run BF2142 on a wifi connection. at school its 11.0 mbps, and at home its around 5.5 mbps (theres s/t wrong with my router at home). im only kicked from maps when im at school. also, my stats dont show up when im using my schools wifi, but thats just because they blocked ea.com. so if you ever see me as a fresh recruit..... im actually (as of now) a corporal gold.....

Some fog kills are perfectly legitimate.

but i play on australian servers, game arena and internode and they are registered with pbbans so i have to report hacking to them. Only started to watch out for them recently when getting tapped in the head by the lambert from an obscene range by the same person over and over again.

I run everything on wireless connection. Never really had any problems, as long as the signal is strong. I live in an older house, so we don't have cable running through the walls to every room.

As for cheaters, hunt them down the whole round and teabag 'em as much as possible.

some servers have an auto kick set for ping. If your ping reaches that magic number then you get kicked. When i ran my server i usually had it set around 180 or so. Anybody higher than 180 would be kicked.

Playing on WLAN sucks. I played on WLAN for almost a year. Now I am back to cable and it is different. (Wlan was always very well connected and 56MBit.

i use a linksys router and dont have problems only when i am playing and my bro is playing on COD4 i get a ping of 40-70 or something like that and when my bro isnt playing i get a ping of 5-20
