Does anyone remember the original COD release? I sure don't. But here are a couple of demos to jog your memory.

Burnville Demo (http://files.totalgamingnetwork.com/file/103/Call+of+Duty+Single-Player+Demo+Burnville/)

Dawnville Demo (http://files.totalgamingnetwork.com/file/104/Call+of+Duty+Single-Player+Demo+Dawnville/)

I still play cod and UO..mainly base assault. Loads of fun to still be had with the old games. Had a blast last weekend taking on some great players in an amazing match in Teuchola forest(SP?) I also play on a modern weapons server run by {MOB} thats alot of fun.

The original is still the best when you look at the series from a glance. Sure it didn't have the mass of vehicles or the wide-ranging maps like its competitor Battlefield 1942, but dam did IW find a winning formula when it came to raw infantry-only first-person-shooters.

I got the CoD disk when I purchased my Nvidia 5900GS card. I think it was that model, I know it was a 5000 GS series. Really fun game.

I agree, I much prefer Dawnville to Carentan any day. I didn't like CoD2's Dawnville as much though, a lot of the map was cut-off for the worse (IMO).

One thing I loved about the COD WWII series was the variety of campaigns you had in SP....getting to play as US, UK, and Russian forces. Kinda cool to see the war from the different perspectives, and the different attitudes and approaches of each army.

In the demos, the allied bots have face paint on them. In the real version, they don't ;). I remember I downloaded some cheats for the demos to have unlimited friendly bots, all the weapons, etc. Fun demos too.

Nothing can beat the classics and nothing can beat UO. Still the best one out there imo.
