help please

has any one had the same problem,
you go into multi player then into advanced and the server count only goes to about 54 last week i had about 400 anyone know what is happening or is it my end. I have just put a new modem on thought that it might have been the problem but it wasnt......some ideas would be great.. slightly limited on what i can play because of my ping ( think it is because of the flooding that we had a little while ago):confused:

Could be your ping. It automatically leaves the results with high ping.

so what is the go with ping if i log into a game with lets say a latency of 200 i get booted saying ping too high then when i look for a server with a latency of 100 or less they are few and far between or there is no players in the room....bugger what is there that i can do

Where are you from? I'd guess that for example Australia sees way fewer servers than Europe.

I get that sometimes, but then I unplug and plug my modem and the server count is fine again...

My router would crash out, or stop pinging if there were too many servers. If you are running straight off a modem, then no clue.
