How much of the map gets used on a regular basis, do you think? I know in titan mode that most of the action will undoubtedly centre around the silos, the home bases and the titans themselves.

But there's literally acres of game map out there that I don't think I've ever stepped on. Of course there are exceptions, like if your transport gets a fatal blow and you end up podding out in the middle of nowhere - but for the most part, they are roads well trodden on.

I podded out of my titan earlier today and saw a large group of enemy units in the landing zone. I switched direction and ended up quite some distance away - using three lots of stamina to get within firing range. It did help. It was at such and unusual position with the Pilum that neither PAC tanks saw what nailed them until they had a Pilum round in their butt.

I find Verdun and Tunis 16 player maps to be extremely fascinating, largely because very few servers run them. In Verdun, the action is all concentrated in what would be silo 2 on the full map. Strangely, it feels completely different.

Liberation of Leipzig, today I found this sweet spot that you can sit and kill a Goliath attacking the Park...

I have been playing NS like crazy lately, its amazing how much much of the maps Remagen and Leipzig I have never explored...

really? i thought goliaths could only be killed through a team effort. i nailed one goliath in the back with 10 pilum rounds before they caught on and killed me. i too, sometimes trek across barren wastelands to get behind the enemy bases. a few matches ago, i walked/sprinted along the outer edge of Suez Canal and nailed 2 tanks and a FAV before these titan cannons opened up..... then came the pods.....

Camp Gibraltar 16-size is like a whole new map :)

I really like the smaller versions of Verdun and Tunis as well, too bad they're never played online...

camp g is the only map most players have explored complotely. all the other maps are to large/ have to much spots, and most players only walk from flag to flag.

on the night time northern strike map there are some really cool buildings with high walkways just a bit south west of the top locked base. They're quite far from the nearest flag though and most people just pass through quickly on the way to a busier section. I always figured it would make for some great battles though.

tunis harbor is pretty basic, theres alot of different angles and areas in campG to fight around. I tend to prefer 2nd level walkways and catwalks. I like the eastern area with the train cars close to toll station. lots of good cover and you get some good fighting, the other side if its a 50 person map theres generally alot of nades coming in your direction which is isnt quite as favorable. Cerbere landing is more interesting, the funnest parts of the map imo is south town center and the area north before road block, there tends to be alot of congested brutal fighting which is kind of nice. Then theres that snowy area that overlooks southtown flag which if you get that postion and dont get flanked you can really take advantage of it. Belgrade is annoying because of vehicles i tend to stick around com tower, inside buildings by com tower and inside buildings overlooking flag closest to EU uncap. Fall of Berlin would be a better map if they swapped the APC for a couple FAVs cause then you could just car bomb the walkers and it would be mostly infantry fighting i think the map would be great(er)

I am making a 2142 video (I only need like 3 more clips, I am so close and yet so far from finishing...) of me killing Goliaths ;) Its not that hard to kill them, Motion Mines + Motion Mine Bait work most of the time.[/offtopic]

I was always disappointed with all that extra land wasted in Shuhia Taiba--it seems to scream for jets to me at least. They might as well have reduced the playable area to that which surrounds the main routes.

Maybe they could have spread the silos out a bit more?

you will be surprised how many people dont know that the walkers on tunis can actually walk in the water!!! so if your pac you can use the walker to get to the eu uncap by using the water and vice versa!

whats better is that your completely rdx jeep free

we do that sometimes, you get a co-pilot in your walker then head straight along side the docks all the way up to the back of the enemy base where there is a bit of a ground ramp up to dry land. Then my co-pilot jumps out and gets in their walker. On a good day we get to kill their commander as well :¬) You can get RDXed though if you're not careful since snipers can run along the dock edge and throw their packs on top of the walker.

My favorite tunis/walker thing is when the walker goes straight over that docked boat in the middle between eastern docks and junk yard. First time I saw that i was shot by it as I stood still in awe thinking "what a great idea"!

sidi powerplant also has a few wading parts around the middle of the map, for those who like to get their walkers wet. Its better than going along the bridge where there are always motion mines waiting for you

Playing titan and 64 player conquest of those non infantry maps is how you start fighting around different places on the maps. A refreshing change from infantry maps like campG and the likes

Yes, but on the 64 man Suez Conquest there is a small pond to the west of Dry Lake. Don't take your walker through that. It's DEEP!!

Ive used the water many times in tunis and other maps its amazing in tunis just press Z and you will go under water with only the 2nd position above water :D
