Crymod (http://www.crymod.com)is currently showcasing an interesting Star Wars mod that once again pushes CryENGINE 2 to new realms:
A Day in a Life is actually a planned series of mini-mods that are set to cover the adventures of specific characters in the Star Wars universe within a 24-hour period. The first installment is already underway, and will put you in the shoes of Imperial Stormtrooper TK-501. Set around the events of Episode 4: A New Hope, you will find yourself carrying out several different missions for the Empire. Some of these events will even coincide with the movie. The developer, Bandu, already has a successful BF2142 mod under his belt. It will be interesting to see how this mod develops.
WIP Screenshots
The mod has come along quite nicely. Below, we have a shot of the stormtrooper you will be playing, as well as a Dewback model, and a screenshot of one of their maps. The first screenshots show off the storm trooper model in various positions. The helmets have been tested ingame already and the rest of the character is finished except of some optimizing. They are also working on a creature called Dewback which the Stormtroopers use as mount. The following screenshot shows an early version of the animal.
