The Asylm Mod Team, creators of "The Fox" mod, is looking to expand its team of developers:The dev team around the new Crysis singleplayer modification called "The Fox" has recently provided more detailed information on the story and also released new WIP screenshots. Next to this update they have quite a few open positions which you can see at the end of the news post.

The Story
The year is 2008; we sit in our living rooms watching the presidential campaign rage across our television set. Election Day is drawing closer, the people anxious to see who will take the powerful seat of the giant known as the United States of America. The American crusade of the war on terror is a hot topic these days, what will happen once a new president takes over. But the future reality was far beyond what anyone could imagine.
The year is 2016; wars in the Middle East have spread. Allied forces are beginning to thin out in the ranks of soldiers fighting meaningless wars. Fighting an enemy that will never surrender, the financial losses are high to the point of depression. America along with other powerful nations loses their influential powers across the globe. The need for financial stability has reached an all time high. Internal power struggles within all of the world’s nations emerges, and to no one’s surprise the one with the money to pay for war was no longer governments and countries. Major Corporations slowly spread their poison into the heart of the people, making them believe that governments have failed. That true peace lies within stability that only they could provide. Civil war erupts and former black operation agencies now no longer funded by countries turns on their former masters. In a swift swoop worldwide leaders are assassinated one by one. Borders have fallen, new ones are erected. The world no longer bears the borders of countries but of corporate controlled zones. The only shelter for those who wished to live without the shackles of control ventured into the free zones. Areas who contains no resources for financial gain. The freedom was well received by the lower middle classes and the poor. But the risks were high here as well as raiders found their targets best suited within the free zones. Corporations had a way of protecting their new borders by hiring former black operation agencies to do the dirty work of warfare.
The year is 2018; we take part in the stories of a former specialist of war Samuel Fox. A retired soldier aimlessly avoiding conflict by staying in no one place longer than he had to. Doing whatever job he could in the towns he ended up in for shelter and food while he was there. Staying out of corporate zones as he could sticking with the nature which always provided the necessary ingredients for survival when he didn’t have a place to stay. One day Samuel gets a ride with a stranger residing in the town of New Springs. There he is given a warm bed and hot meals. The town portrayed perfect peace with its inhabitants doing their part to keep a solid community running well. Until the day the raiders came, raping the women before cutting them up. Displaying the mutilated bodies of the towns’ wives in the centre of town. It didn’t take long after their arrival until they packed up and left, taking the children with them as future soldiers and slaves. The town left with a fragment of survivors, including Samuel Fox. The images of the horrific scenes burned into his mind. The wows he had taken to never take up arms again slowly evaporating in the burning flames. The resurrection of his lust for combat reborn, bringing the once feared combatant back into battle. And unknowingly starting a revolution in a person who had the power to make a significant impact on the injustice that was surely going to turn into a new world war.
Weapon - WIP Combat Knife
The textured version of the FoxMod combat knife is done for now. It their first serious texture attempt but already looking pretty good. Their animator is currently working on some kill animations for that knife as well.
