ok well here is a pic im just learning about terrain an stuff. but i think this is going to be apart of my map.

i know its not fancy but im havin lot of toruble an dont got much help. it will be along time before its done. unless i get super good or find some great help. but tell me what ya think so far please

I wouldn't stretch the vertices of the terrain that much, it might look low quality. You may also want to put a "test" model on the road, to see if it's a good width.

You'll probably also want to alpha blend the terrain, so it isn't a sudden change from dirt to grass. http://www.modsonline.com/Tutorials-read-122.html This tutorial is for Call of Duty, but the basics of it are the same. The main difference is that the overlaying texture will have "dec" or "decal" in the name.

Also, right clicking on the 3D will let you select which texture you want to select, which is good when you've already alpha blended.

Edit: Looking at the screen shot again, it looks like you're using the decal textures instead of the "base" textures. You won't be able to see the decal textures in-game if they aren't on a "base" texture IIRC, they also won't have any clipping.

thanks ill start all over an i dont mess with mods online ive posted there. and no one ever replied so
