BF2 SF Lightning Problem

All you should need to do is install the latest (1.41) patch after installing SF. I think the "lightning.fx" error was from either using incremental instead of full patches or from patches not installing completely. 1.41 is only available as a full patch, not an incremental.

Yes, that should be it. You must always re-patch after installing SF because SF installs patch 1.10 even if you were already at a higher level.
