MIC fine in windows but not BF2

Anyone know what could cause this?
My MIC works fine, but when in BF2 it is awol? :confused:

Did you run the VOIP Setup?

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2Voipsetup.exe

Try running that, and see if it recognizes your mic there. If it does, just save and try again in BF2 :)

I have exactly the same problem. extremely irritating that Vista and other appz like googletalk can use my mic fine but BF2 (& i think CS too) doenst reconise any mic.

i tried running that voipsetup file and it crashed, vista tells me that i should patch my game up to 1.12

weird since we're up to 1.41 or whatever...

dunno what else to do - XP worked fine on this exact same comp, so might end up going back to that.
