Ok well on my often "passing time" trips while waiting for something to download I noticed that one of the pins has a Critera of 5 headshots IAR, so my question is does Bf2142 reconize headshots

ex: I shoot my GANZ HMG and get him in the head does something in the game tell me I got a headshot and register it.

No, just like bf2, it says which gun you used. Maybe there is but haven't seen it in the beta yet.

Its 5 headshots with a sniper, im pretty sure about that.

When using Assualt i always go for the head and i never got the pin so it has to be a sniper.

Maybe but still the question hangs how does the game register it. Do you have something in BFHQ that says sniper headshots and is it extra points?

What do you mean, it can count how many headshots you have lol.

And no its not extra points.

It shoudnt be really. You would see alot more snipers on the map if it was lol.

Predator i cant believe you didnt see that lol. I reckon if you pull of a good headshot it should go BOOM HEADSHOT! lol. :p

pins didn't work exactly well in the beta though, i got my road kill pin 3 times in a round for shooting down things with a tank lol >.>

Well you could of run them over without noticing, seeing as in the beta if you got touched by a tank you owuld die lol.

But yeah hardly any awards worked in the beta.

yes, because u can get pins over and over again.
If u do 10 headshots in a round, u will get it twice in the round.

A: i can't run over doragons in tanks when they're airborne :p and B: You couldnt run people over in beta, physics were out of whack, you'd have to push them into walls.

A. I never said you could run over Gunships lmao.
B. If someone touched a moving vehicles like a tank or soemthing they would die, i didnt say run over. Yes when you tried to run some over it didnt work lol.

I like to think of that as the "Lone Wolf Sniper Pin." You know there is a certain subset of BF2 players who only play sniper, and just camp one or two spots on the map. I have to think they treat BF2 like Deer Hunter, just with more targets. "The Pwned Life" kind of sniper.

i snipe a lot, but i like to think that i'm a decently well rounded player.

I thought that pins did give you extra points, so 5 headshots with the sniper rifle in a round would give you the pin and some extra points for the pin. I'm not 100% sure how it works though, I'm hoping it gives points.

Well they obviously wouldnt release it if it wasnt fixed would they lol.

And you can play the demo for aslong as you want so you'll have something to play :p

Lol, how about Max payne style bullet zoom effects when you pull off a headshot?:p
Actually I would opt for All your base are belong to us instead of boom headshot...

didnt matter if you go the pin or not in the beta, server would crash 10 mins later.
