Someone should send an E-mail to Ea ad ask. BTW I heard Oct 10 B/c it's on a Tuesday which every BF game has been released on.

The demo is supposed to be out this week. The 10th is next week.

yea i think thats correct.. its 17 and demo is AROUND the 10th... well demos sopposed to be the 7th (~10 days before the release)

7 days, 11 hours, 35 minutes and 2 seconds

Went down to EB Games yesterday to see if there was an update on their original date of the 26th of October, and they said its now the 20th of october in australia.
They are also doing the Rank Up + Weapon Unlock for those who preordered in store.
Oh and yeh thats EB Games Australia (down at Pacific Fair, which is on the Gold Coast in Queensland for those who dont know).

Well since one of the EA tech support guys slipped........I can say you are correct......(If you pre-ordered) if you didn't wait one more day. I've known the date for over a week, and it's been driving me nuts....I'm glad someone else slipped up.

Down here in Sydney, I did not get the "Rank Up + Weapon Unlock" code, even though I went in person to preorder the game.

So Thursday for the majority of us, damn, that's nearly a full weeks wait. I was hoping for the beginning of the week, not the end. :cry:

Well that settles it, your gonna have a heart attack from major stress and restlessness and probably die before the demo comes out, but if you live thru it you will not be in good enough shape to play the game.
So you may wanna relax some or else :P

Cause it doesnt say demo OR retail.. and based of the 10/17th id guess he was talkin about retail not demo. But the demo usually comes out a week or two before the full game.

I'd have gone with Wednesday for us "Non-EA butt buddy pre-order downloaders". EA relase stuff to DL on a tuesday and since the abovementioned butt buddies get it 24 hours earlier than us I'd bet on Wednesday for general release. Makes more sense than Thursday.
I just hope they've sorted some of the more annoying gripes out.

It's already been confirmed as the 4th & 5th. An EA Tech Support blabbed, and MichaelBrobst2 confirmed what was said was true.

Thats clever, what exactly do you mean by that? I've pre-ordered through EA downloader, doesn't mean I think they're anything but money grabbing idiots who have no sense for a good game if it smacked them in the face, just a choice made for simplicity...

Pretty much every site I've looked at in the UK now states 20th. :( I was rather hoping play.com were right with 13th.

I just meant EA waited awful late to start allowing pre-orders after the fact most people had gone to the store to pre-order or pre-ordered online from ebgame or gamestop type places.
EA didn't start offering BF2142 for pre-ordering until fairly recently.. I just think it was a marketing ploy to get people that had already pre-ordered to pre-order again so they can get the demo 24hrs early and get the game downloaded directly.
I'm just mad they didn't offer it sooner instead of waiting so late.
