Does anyone know the requirements for field upgrades?
I got them alot threw good squad teamwork during the beta but not really sure what triggers them.
For those that aren't too sure what I'm talking about its basicaly lets you try out a unlock while your playing on a server before you decide on unlocking.
Thanks for you info in advance. ^_^

I'm not sure how many points you need, but you need squad leader success points, for when you get kills/repairs/rearms/revives within an attack/defend order radius.

Do you see tthe are you need to stay in on the mini map or something or do you have to learn the distances you can go away from the leader:confused:
Sorry if thats a stupid question but i did not play the Beta:cry:

I don't believe there is a visible circle around it, you just need to stay close to the order for the bonus to be given, this means you need a good Squad leader who issues defend orders or attack orders when needed, for extra points.

Well you get awarded field upgrades when you're squad performs well together in the area you have been ordered to.
I thinks its around 25 - 30 squad success points. Thats a guesstimate :p

Oh ok thanks Alaz;)
They should be alot of good squad leaders this time around since you get a lot of points doing teamwork:D
How good were the squads in the Beta :D

I tried leading squads a lot in beta, it worked pretty good. I consider any Squad leader who sets a new attack order after a completed one to be good enough, I did have one squad leader in the beta though that would set a defend order on any silo we captured for a few moments, just for us to get a few extra points as we mopped up any leftover soldiers. Was a really good squad leader, only time will tell how many there are. I wouldn't stay in any squad unless the leader gives orders fairly reguarly.

Did you ever notice the green bar on the top left screen?
It fills up when receivind points and once its full your squad receives a FU.

you get field upgrades for working with your squad leader/commander.

Wofi's got it I believe. It doesn't answer the question of "How Many?" you need to fill that bar up. I would wager 10-20 squad bonus points, but that's jut a guess, I didn't look close enough in beta either.

is that ad a joke or true? I'm almost scared to ask. I know about in-game ads idiocy but I was hoping it wasn't so ridicolous

Also you get squad point by just spawning on SL's Spawn beacon.
I led a few squads and if you place the beacon in a good hidden place where enemy wont destroy it and your squad keeps spawning on it and follows your orders I had as many as 4 field upgrades in a round, trust me thats a lot of new toys to play with in a round. As for actual number: I dont think any one can tell for sure couse the FU bar was broken in beta( it was or full or empty--NO ACTUAL PROGRESS INDICATOR). Hope this helps.

What?
You(SL) order your squad attacking or defending and your Squad Members do your orders, killing, resupplying, healing, reviving or anything else until you fill the Field Upgrade bar,you will get a message that you have achived Field Upgrade.
Then you can choose an upgrade that u haven't unlock but its not permanent.

It wasn't very many points so I would not be surprised to see that go up a little in the 'finished' game. There were many times that our squad would get 2 or 3 upgrades in a round.
